Yes you can play with characters from different folders at the same time
Its a small trick i learned
1. go to CSS and choose a character, make sure it has been clicked on and chosen
- the game will automatically load the character from whatever folder u are using
2. press the combination buttons while in the CSS and choose your other character
- the character you choose next will be from the second folder since the game will load the other folder when u press the button combination
-only downfall to this is that ur CSS from the other folder will not automatically load in the CSS selection area so you have to memorize in which slot the character you desire from the second folder is located
-also stages and music from the second folder will appear after you pressed the button combinations

If all ur lucario slots are filled in the first folder and u have lucario on the other than yes Also, any progress on 4 folders?

on topic: this is really convenient, especially if you want to keep using the hack in folder 1, but VS a hack from folder 2. I'm always moving crap into my custom3 folder for riivo's "brawlmods setup". lol

Mine only loads the secondary texture file. It won't load the moveset files if I do that.

yea once the button combination is activated it grabs everything from the other folder including the moveset, but if you had already chosen the character it sticks to it |

I chose my first character.
Pressed the combination.
Chose my other character.
And both characters were from one of the 2 folders
Though the textures loaded from both folders.
Just not the moveset.

Wait a sec.. based on this logic, i can play as one slot psas? i mean one texture/moveset of ex.mario smg moveset and the other texture/moveset from the other folder mario ex. smbz mario? *Hopes*  |

It loaded Marth's Texture for me and Roy's texture for the other character. But both had Marth's moveset. Roy didn't have have his moveset. Then I tried it again, and then both characters had Roy's moveset. |
