The major reason I joined is to ask this question. For the longest time I have been looking for a good Mewtwo hack for SSBB. (And not some cheap Lucario spin off.) Yes, there is part of Mewtwo inside the game, but there is so little you can't work with it. I finally ran across it here:
. This person copied the files from Melee and transferred them over to Brawl, replacing Lucario. I downloaded the .pcs, .pac, and the .brsar for sound effects, and put them in their respective places. (SD/private/wii/app/rsbe/pf/fighter/lucario *and* SD/private/wii/app/pf/sound.) I have seven .pac files (FitLucario.pac, FitLucarioMotionEtc.pac, and FitLucario00-05, but 03 is missing for some reason) and five .pcs files: FitLucario.pac and FitLucario00-05, with 03 missing. 1) Are those files in the right place? 2) What does the .brsar file need to be named? And my biggest question, 3) What do I need for the .gct file? I know I need one to activate the hack, but can someone post the codes to activate it? I am completely lost when it comes to this. I have done unrestrained camera hacks, but that was done with a premade code that I could copy/paste.

1. Yes there in the right place. However, sound effects can not be used with the file patch code, the code you're looking for in question 3. 2. Can not be done with the file patch code, but can be done with Riivolution. Refer to this guide I made. It needs to be named smashbros_sound.7z if I remember correctly. 3. The code your looking for is the file patch code. I'll put it in the spoiler below.

What do I do then? The file patch code will make the textures work, and Riivolution will make the sounds work, but you can't run the patch code off of Riivolution, what do you do?

Riivolution can patch pretty much anything in Brawl, if not everything. You don't need the file patch code if you're using Riivolution.

In other words, just take out the File Patch code, the textures will still load as well as the sounds

Try this, it is a modified Brawl+ loader to cut out the + part to make it vanilla brawl. It has an XML file that links to a GCT to add things like unrestricted camera and infinite replays. http://www.mediafire.com/?xcbmhijlrdmu40d

Another question (n00b moment!) what is the "_en" people talk about for file names? Is it an abbreviation, or do you literally have to type _en after a file? What is it? *Edit* I won't have a chance to test this for a while, as I had to delete my Brawl save file so I could do the Smash Stack. I made the silly mistake of upgrading to version 4.3U. That was a nightmare.

Depends on what you use Gecko doesn't need the _en and the riivolution standard XML does need it on certain files. My XML dosent need the _en on the files.

New question. As I am looking through the forums, I see that riivolution uses different directories to run hacks. Do I put the files in root/private/wii/app/rsbe/fighter or should I put it here: root/ssbb/fighter?

Well, the Mewtwo hack was a success, but there are a few bugs to work out. First offf, he still has Lucario's sound effects. What does the .brsar need to be named and where does it go? Second, he still uses part of Lucario's animation. So instead of his up smash being the galaxy attack, it does Lucario's up smash (Mewtwo moves like he is going to do the galaxy attack, but aura appears near his shoulders, like Lucario charging his up smash.) Does anyone know of any fixes for this? *Edit*: I have his sounds running just fine. One little bug is that one of Mewtwo's taunts doesn't have a sound, so the game put's Lucario's in it's place. I still need a fix for Lucario's aura that appears when Mewtwo attacks. New question: is there a way to fix replays? If I try to save a replay of a battle between Mewtwo and Bowser, weird things happen. It shows Lucario instead of Mewtwo, although I can take pictures and Mewtwo will be there like he should. Also, Bowser will attack random areas (where I would have been in the real fight). Is there a code to get the game to "see" Mewtwo instead of Lucario?
