I've been telling them that.

Quote from: Amarythe on September 22, 2014, 11:42:24 AMFor the hacked version, does it look like project m at all for you? Or is it just straight up brawl completely?
I can confirm that the Clone Tool won't work. I loaded up the files from the hack set and the only character that showed up was a Mario; none of the new characters.
I mean, it never really worked for me before, but it would at least display my current clones.
When you say you "found the problem", do you mean you fixed it and the Hacked version is now stable again? I'll try it again just in case.
Quote from: fdxerox on September 22, 2014, 12:45:55 AMWhat soopercool101 said is true, also I think the clone tool might not work. Just add the config files in manually.
Good to see progress is happening on this pack! I've been struggling with adding a clone to it, but I assumed it might be something that would be fixed in the next release. Unfortunately this has not been the case, and I'm still having trouble. It must be something I'm doing wrong, but I've been following a ton of Brawlex tutorials. Is there some special method we need to use to add clones that isn't part of regular Brawlex? Has anybody using this pack actually added anyone extra beyond Pichu, Young Link, and the others already included?
My process has mostly been: set up new clone spot (#44) using Sammi Husky's clone tool, then I copy the fighter's module into the module folder, give it the correct id (44) in section 8 and change its module ID to something unusued (the last build I used 148, but this one I used 149). Then I add 44 right before random in the cssroster.dat and create a fighter folder using all stock files from the Brawl ISO, naming the folder and all files within it after what I've edited the fighterconfig file to be named. I think that covers just about everything. I've not tried editing any cosmetics yet, just trying to get a new clone to work. Lately I've been getting a freeze after selecting it on the CSS, whereas before I was getting it on the character's failed entrance animation.
Again, sorry if this is more of a general Brawlex question, but I just noticed the clone's IDs in the clone tool don't really match up with the numbers on their Brawlex config files, so I assumed it was something specific to this pack. Also just interested in case others who've tried it have been able to make it work, so I can narrow the problem down to something I'm doing.
Quote from: Amarythe on September 21, 2014, 08:32:13 PMSorry, I don't have a hacked wii to test the hacked version. I just moved the files in the order that it typically is in. I guess I messed up somewhere :/ The hackless one works fine though.
...Uh, guys? Big problem.
I just downloaded the hacked version aaaaand... it isn't anything. At all.
It's just a completely unstable Brawl with Brawl cosmetics and the appearance of the Stage Expansion. If it doesn't freeze on the character select, it freezes when you do a match.
:| I'm pretty miffed because I just did a ton of work optimizing my SD for this. Bleh!

Has anybody else been having a problem with Snake? For me, selecting him almost guarantees a freeze. I've already redownloaded the package, too.

Im happy to say that i have fixed the sfx!
I simply added the code in through GCT Analyzer, And now Young Link, Roy, & Mewtwo have their sfx working!
Pichu still uses Pikachu SFX, And Roy has a quiet announcer call. So im going to fix that now.
Quote from: Miacis on September 01, 2014, 09:51:35 PMYes, I agree. Sorry about that. I'll make the op better with details, screenshots, and such.
I would suggest less arguing and perhaps preparing a somewhat cleaner Opening Post.
As stated in this section's Ground Rules, projects posted here need to have
1. A significant showcase and progress report AND
2. A public release of some of that progress.
You have the public release. The rest of the OP spends half its text explaining why you made that pack instead of showcasing/telling what it does.
Consider fixing that, or this thread might end up in the "Project Concepts" sub-section really soon.
And trust me, you don't want to go there. It's got rabid wolves and crap.
Quote from: ToddL on August 31, 2014, 02:18:21 AMThank you for the encouraging words. Seeing post like this really helps motivate us. You can expect an update really soon ;)
I don't log in to these forums anymore but I decided to make an exception here just so I could thank you for making this pack. I wouldn't have bothered but I saw some negative comments that I don't feel were justified and I wanted to counterbalance them. I'm personally really grateful that someone is putting this pack together and I've been watching it intently for updates since it came out. If this project reaches the point that the added characters has been physically tweaked to fit with PM's physics and they have sound FX, I'll definitely be downloading this, turning it into an WBFS, and giving it a permanent place on my Wii.
Quote from: Amarythe on August 31, 2014, 12:30:12 PMThe current download link is unstable unfortunately. However, I have a stable pack in my computer lol. We just have to fix some things before we can release 0.7.
Is this hack set stable? I downloaded it recently and it makes my Wii crash really often. Admittedly, I clicked the download link before the "Hacked" version was available, and my Wii is hacked, haha.
Quote from: UnmutedGuy on September 01, 2014, 03:45:22 AMYou can add in clones the same way you always could with BrawlEX. Check out their thread on how to do it: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=65113.0
Can/How can I add clones to this?
Quote from: chaoswolf on August 28, 2014, 08:49:58 PMSorry about that, we are working on it.
The problem probably was if you crouched. It froze on me just by that and hitting the ground from the d-air.
Quote from: Kashology on August 26, 2014, 09:27:55 AMDid the stage at least load up? I know that young link has been having some issues.
Thank you. I downloaded it, but the game froze on me; all I did was pick Young Link, a random level 3 computer to face, and the version of final destination that was shown in this thread. Is this a normal occurrence?
Quote from: Kashology on August 26, 2014, 03:37:21 AMIt should work on wiiu, but ive personally never tried project m on a wiiu. Most hacks should be compatible, but to be on the save side remember to back up your mods. For the most part this pack has everything from the latest Project M and BrawlEX, except for roy and mewtwo's sfx, but that'll change in a future update. I'm sure there are other packs with hd textures. So far n64 final destination is being made in HD and should be ready by the next update, but as far as HD characters go, no. But you should check out the Smash 3 pack: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=63270.0 there you will find HD characters!
1. Will this hackless method work with my Wii U Wii Menu? If so, what exactly do I do to download it, just load stage builder with nothing but this Mod package extracted on my 2GB memory card?
2. Are all hacks compatible with this mod (e.g, stages, character skins, character portraits, PSAs, SFXs, etc.)? And if not, can you state which aren't compatible or which are (if easier)?
3. Does this Mod have all the stuff that Project M and Brawl EX have on their latest versions?
4. I never seen a mod with HD stuff before, do you know if this is the only one?
5. How many HD stages do you have on here? Are the characters also in HD?
6. What are your future plans for this (if you care to share at this time)?
Quote from: corpsra on August 26, 2014, 03:48:17 AMYes, the next update will have fixed sfx. Thanks, I'm glad you like it :)
your pack is probably my favorite so far of combining project m and brawl ex. Any updates for the sfx?
Quote from: Nefnoj on August 25, 2014, 04:01:23 AMToon link has slower arrows, weaker bombs, and doesn't have a repeating sword jab, just to name a few differences.
I'm sorry, I'm about to be "that guy"... But isn't Toon Link the equivalent of Young Link?
Quote from: LC-DDM on August 25, 2014, 11:44:32 AMThat's not what I'm trying to do at all. I'm trying to make a pack where the user can have more stages and characters. We are also making hd remakes of previous stages. I'm not trying to [censor] on anyone's work. We are just adding on to something that was already great to give the players more options. Plus this is just the beginning, we plan on doing more with this pack.
I'm going to help 'that guy'.
All you're doing is a compilation pack using other people's things just to create this vision of the 'perfect' game that doesn't exist, while adding NOTHING of value that you created yourself. Not to mention smearing P:M's name by thinking 'hey this total conversion mod that a lot of people worked on isn't good enough and isn't to my tastes I should [censored] all over their work'.
Quote from: Jade_Rock on August 23, 2014, 12:02:59 AMI see your point. I suppose I could start using drop box. This could solve your problem, because you could simply download the updated files individually. So, in a sense, you'd be downloading a patch. yes, dropbox, somethink I should look into. Thanks for the input :)
Just started the download, this sounds amazing!
One question:Would you mind releasing patches?Like for people with 0.5 can they just download the new files for the 0.7 update my internet is pretty slow so downloading every update 500-600mb is going to be annoying.I understand if you don't have the time to include this.I hope this project keeps going and doesn't die off soon.
