I think that you'll need to add something to the XML so that it can read the new stages.

I completely forgot about the xml. What am I suppose to add to it?

You should have said you used Riivolution in the OP.

Sorry about that.

Okay, so I tried that and no results. I should also mention that I'm doing this on the Riivolution.

Help / Stage Expansion 2.0 Issue
January 13, 2011, 03:05:38 AM
So, I finally decided to try making my own SSS with the Stage Expansion code and was fully able to get the icons and the music to show up, but when it came to actually loading the stage nothing would happen. It's like the freezing effect we all know but without the loud beep. At first I thought it was my coding but when I tried Mewtwo2000's version of the codes (with his stages as well), it would do the same thing. Does anyone know anything about how to go about solving this?

Help / Re: Weird desync in replays
January 12, 2011, 05:49:07 PM
I've had that problem too, but I discovered a few things.

  • If you have replays prior to hacking your brawl, they might desync because of textures or mods.
  • Obviously if you change what the stage originally was it will desync.
  • Changes in PSA or gameplay.
  • Some stages and/or character will cause a desync no matter what.

My solution is not to save that replay. What's the point of saving it if you know it will desync.

I updated my Wii, sadly, and no longer have Homebrew... but I only updated, because I got Donkey Kong Country Returns and it FORCED me to update, or I wouldn't be able to play it. I didn't realize that the retarded update would REMOVE my Homebrew Channel.

I used Riivolution to get past it. But my sister didn't know about this and updated my Wii when Just Dance 2 asked for an update.

Hey I'm sorta a noob.
When I go to start a brawl battle (going to the css screen) My wii freezes. This happens when I rename sc_selcharacter_darkblue.pac to sc_selcharacter.pac. When I rename it to sc_selcharacter.pac the css screen loads fine but its just the normal boring css screen. I dont know what I'm doing wrong. Please help =)

I'm trying to load the Dark Flaming Blue CSS, I'm using Riivoution, I put in all the codes, and I was able to put in other hacks with out any problems (like stage, sound, and character hacks) This is my first css hack.

Since Riivolution doesn't have a File Size Limit it can't be any of the CSP or SSP. Where is your common5.pac located on your SD?

I need help!
I get a jumbled screen.
I am using riivolution.
I did put the css and sss in the common5.
I cannot load the additional codes on top of the file replacement patch beacuse because if i use any of the hooks, the game will not even load.
I there a fix for that?
I have that problem, too. Check the thread in help section called "Ocarina Codes?"

Mines was un-jumbled when I used his codes combined with the Brawl+ codes. However, I sometimes crash on some stages, but I don't think that has anything to do with the CSS or SSS.

Man, renkaken is on fire. Good job, homeboy.

How about something from another 64 game. Maybe Mario Kart 64 or Goldeneye since they have many possibilities.

That Paper Mario stage looks awesome, so I recommend doing stages.

HBC Updated! Works with 4.3, Smash Stack or Indiana Pwns required for clean install.

Info in first post.

What happens if you do it with any other method?

Help / Re: Why can't my Windows Vista get BrawlBox?
July 15, 2010, 08:25:52 PM
Which version of BrawlBox are you using? I'm using v0.63d on Vista and it works just fine. I recommend getting that version..
