Hello, music hackers. This topic is about the KCMM Showcase. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please read this.

Well, as you can see, your works can be featured on the blog while you are absent. I'm sure you are all excited about being featured, but first, here are a few rules you should follow if you want your tracks to be more easily featured.
Forgetting about these won't take away this privilege, of course. However, the more easy it is to feature your works, the more quickly members of our team will want to feature it on the blog.

Basically, you'll just need to have a good presentation of your tracks on your topic. A good presentation is:

The title of the tracks
A download link for each, or for a whole pack.
The video game they come from or the artist.

Will also be taken to the blog a short text of less than around 5 lines of your tracks and a little picture of the album/game.
But it is not mandatory at all.  Smiley

If you go much over limit, expect the featurer to cut down some portions of your presentation. If you are underlimit, then you will probably have to wait longer. Because the guy who would like to feature you will have to find the title of the tracks by himself, and/or the provenance of your work.
Which might take quite some time.
Which might lead to no feature at all. Tongue

But don't worry. If there's any trouble with your presentation of your tracks, then someone of the team will probably leave you a little word about it on your topic. Smiley

Overall, your best friend is your common sense for presenting correctly. Ask yourself if you would publish it like that, in our stead. =]

As a fan of Tales of games, and an even bigger fan of Tales of fangames (ACS ... murrr :3), I give you my full support for this project.

I suggest you invert these moves, and then use the Genejin for Side-B. (Genejin is Leon quickly dashing through the enemy ... I think it it Down- DownBack- Back + B, on ACS).
Either that or the infamous Kuushuken.  Smiley (Basically, Genejin forward, then Genhegin bacward and upward, diagonally). Forward- Back- Forward + B on ACS  Smiley
Or you can stay close to Marth and use the combo Shouryurengazan (named "Dragon Blade", I think).  It is a 4 hit ground combo, pushing the enemy backwards. ^^

'tis Trace. He's epic, and I really all like when he is with Flora they are cuuuuuuuuute. LOL x3They need to do a anim about it. But with no Keith. He is gay.
textures are hard, and i really hate that stupid softaware callad Maja. Can someone help me understand PSA ? Do you need to know mode hacks for it ?????
Besides, my friend code is 7344-9764-1245-9447, can anyone plays with me ? i plays wiz meatknite, he is super. and no objects, I'm a pro.

Perfect presentation
Trace Legacy (Twokinds)

Trace is the main character of the furry webcomic Twokinds. He shares his story with Flora, a joyful half-tiger half-human girl. :3 He's a nice guy. Smiley I always loved this webcomic, and I found that Marth suited him well, so ... voila !
I had some troubles with the transparency of the crest (4th picture), but overall, I think it came out quite well. I especially love the tunic.  Grin

Hello everyone, today I've got something important to announce you all. Smiley

The Kitty Corp - Meowmix website is evolving!

You may have noticed that we've had several... unproductive periods on the blog for quite a few months. We've tried to answer this issue with tryouts, and ultimately merged with Meowmix. And even though all these actions offered us much, the issue keeps coming back.
For obvious reasons by the way, people need time to produce quality hacks, they can get tired of it, have IRL problems, etc...

So, we got the idea of doing things.... a little differently.
From now on, every hacker around here has got a chance to be featured on the blog.

Which means that from now on, not only will the members of the team produce hacks when they feel like it, and post them on the blog. But they will also look around the forums, and feature productions from users.

More clearly:They see the hack? The hack is good? BAM! Instantly, said hack gets to be on the front page of the blog, with pictures, description (if there is one), download link; the author is named, and the article linked directly to the user's topic.
And of course, tit applies to all forms of SSBB hack.

I guess the benefits for everyone are quite obvious :
- We get to change the blog into a more important part of the website, acting like a "newspaper" of sorts of the boards.
- You get to be featured on our blog, and everyone can enjoy your epic work and see how groovy you are. Grin
- Teams can hunt for new talents, or see if members of their own team are quite well rated or not.

We revitalize the blog, and boost the boards at the same time. How more epic can this get? Tongue

We are trying to make a more "mature" kind of SSBB website. Not just revolving around the works of a few chosen ones. But open to the works of the whole community. The website's goal will now be to promote SSBB Hacking as a whole. And I hope that you will keep on following us in this new adventure, and that you enjoy the ride. Smiley

Hum, I'll be doing a detailled review for Cosmic Geno, just like I did for Fighter Geno :

Overall, I really like the choices made for this character. Both artistically and on the gameplay side, I find him to be exceptionnally good. There are just a few very minor things to correct. But as I said, it is already a very epic piece of work.  Smiley

A-Tap : Pretty !  Cheesy Could it be possible to have the shots made by holding A instead of tapping it ? Or is it a deliberate choice ?

Dash Attack : Good. Nothing to say.

Side-Tilt : Good looking too, but the hitboxes appear a bit too early before the actual explosion occurs.

Up-Tilt : I find it a little spammy, myself ... The said "bit of start-up lag" isn't really noticeable.

Down-Tilt : Maybe a tiny bit too poweful for a quick move, maybe ... Otherwise, it's quite good, I guess.

Side-Smash : As of now, it is really hard to do the second hit consistently (ie. not mashing the buttons). I suggest you give more ending lag to the first hit, and thus give a little more room to use the second one. It's already quite hampered by the fact you can't use the second hit as a killing move for opponents with more than 50% (it doesn't connect, unless you miss the first hit ... which means the enemy is on a perfect, pinpoint place in front of you).

Up-Smash : Good. Nothing to say.

Down-Smash : I know it's supposed to be a "get away from me !" move, but ... right now, with the small hitbox it is more like a "stop merging with me !". And it barely kills ... Either make the final burst a bit wider, so it can be a useable smash, or just transform it into a destructive move to compensate its poor range.

N-Air : Good. I like these kind of moves. ^^

B-Air : Same

U-Air : Kinda hard to connect. Maybe make it last just a bit longer (not the sweetspot, just the "normal" hits).

F-Air : Wow ... this is a powerful and funny move. It really pushes enemies back a lot. Lots of pretty combos with this.  Cheesy

D-Air : Okay, now this guy is overpowered. It's a powerful, very quick, long-lasting and easy to maneuver spike. It certainly is his most powerful move, and it is almost impossible to anticipate/punish. You can chain 3 of these with one single jump. Not even mentionning the bouncing property. o_o Please at least put a bit more ending lag to it. You can really easilly kill at 0% with a Double/Triple F-Air barrage to push off the edge and then one or two easy-to-hit-with spikes.
Visually, there's also the hitbox of the punch lasting about twice as much as the whole animation+GFX ... So just falling can make you hit. Tongue

Throws : They are a bit long-lasting ... it may prove difficult during melees. But I guess it balances the character. Also, please put the flash effect at the tip of his grabbing range. It's hard to tell where you can grab, otherwise.

N-Special : Neat ! I like it, both the sounds, effect and stats.  Smiley

D-Special : Uhh ... I don't like the character animation. The transition from the charging to the "arms in air" position is a bit brutal and unfortunately, the time spent in the latter (extremely static) position doesn't look smooth at all. Also there's something I don't really like in this attack : the hits you get from these epic effects do not depend of the position in the stream. Which means being barely touched by a few little "strings" and recieving the totality of the attacks deals the same damage ... I believe putting less hitting hitboxes on the sides of the attack would be beneficial. With an attack that can easily deal 40%, it is probably wiser. Smiley

A really creepy glitch I found with the two latter moves : When playing at a speed slower or equal to 1/2, their aerial version becomes an "instant teleport to the place you last jumped from".  Undecided
Also, why don't these special have this shiny star effect that the other two have ? I believe putting them respectively when firing the lazzor and when charging the attack (to fill in the wait ...) would look nice.

Side-Special : EPIC ! Cheesy Could it be possible to just have the laser as a straight line when used in midair ? Seeing a laser fall is kinda ... creepy.  Lips Sealed

Up-Special : The aerial version is okay. But why is the grounded one cancellable so early ? It makes abusing Super Armor really too easy ...

Final Smash : Uh ? o_O I don't get it. What is it ? And how can you avoid an attack that does 102% freakin' damage ?! O_O

I like the Taunts. Does the Down Taunt do anything special ? Or is the "Healing" effect just for the looks ?

Even though I may look really critic with all these details I picked up, I really enjoy this character a lot.  Smiley It's already an epic piece of work, even if you don't change anything more.

Wow ... that's really an amazing moveset. I just love this character.  Laugh

I'll try a step-by-step analysis :

B ATTACKS
Standard B - Dark Magic - Range a little too short, I think.
UP B - Hover - Seems perfect to me. Thankfully he has this to compensate his shorty jumps.
SIDE B - Duo Slash - Very good. Simple, and classy.
DOWN B - Surprise Attack - Very interesting move. I think the invisible time is a bit too long, though.
FINAL SMASH - Corruption - Epic. Perfect. Really cool. Nothing else to say.  Cool

A ATTACKS
A - Nice. Gotta be pretty close, but considering the speed of the attack, it looks fair.
Side Smash A - Good. The projectiles are a nice touch. =)
Up Smash A - Weird ... It's even quite hard to trap opponents on the sword ...
Down Smash A - Ooh ... sweet. I like the hit on the back at the beginning of the attack.
A DASH - Epic. But leaves you vulnerable too long, even considering the damage it deals. Maybe add a little more cinematic hitlag ? To make it even more epic.  Cheesy

A Air and A Air up - Best of his aerials, I think. But the Neutral Air has got strangely narrow hitboxes ...
A Air Down - Much better move. More useful.
A Air Forward - Good idea making it spike ... but again,the range is a bit poor. Maybe enlarge it a little, but without the spike on the tip of the blade ?
A Air Backwards - Can't tell the difference. Tongue

All the S3 A attacks - Good, but there seems to be a hitbox problem with the Up-Tilt ... I can't seem to properly hit the enemy with about a third of these ...

OTHER CHANGES
Marth now has a glowing purple sword. -
Marth is a lot slower. - I think you should speed up a little bit his running speed. It is really really slow ... Possibly the slowest of the game ? idk  Undecided
Marth jumps lower, but has better air movement. - Grah ! He jumps so low I can't even notice the change in air movement! Please, could you make his first "fully pressed" jump just a little higher ?  Embarrassed
Marth's entry has been changed. -
Marth's A taunt is now his old taunt. - ?? What ?


Very very good moveset, overall. It's just kinda bothering to have a combo, speedy character that can't seem to reach his targets, because of sluggishness and very short jumps. And some weird hitboxes.
But still, it's so much complete ...  Tongue

Oh, yeah, of course ...
He felt bad after doing it, of course and quit the team just because of that, when he seemed very happy to do so...

It wasn't fair ... okay, the way he asked me to give him back his powers when everybody got demoted heavily implied I had to restore HIS powers. I suppose that's probably why he didn't discuss it with us even though I had told him TWICE that he should discuss the matter with us if he didn't approve it.
I guess we even could have let him keep mod powers if he had ASKED ! But of course, he did nothing. >_>
That doesn't look like something he did for the whole team. (which pretty much agreed as a whole to these demotions.)

And finally, I'd like to know what noble cause he served by censoring picano's username and messing up all of the smilies. (And possibly causing much much trouble to a certain user by banning him multiple times for no reason. "Possibly", because he was just the only suspect when it happenned.)

I guess it was all a misunderstanding ? >_>

Well, let's start off things quickly.

We just permabanned the user and former member of the team MilkaholicX.

Why ? Not because he left the team and went to Stack Smash. We don't care about it.
Because of a breach of trust. As a team member, he asked for the admin powers for a short time, to make a quick, innoffensive modification. We granted his wish, trusting he wouldn't pose any problems. But instead, he messed up some parts of the forum and granted himself more powers than what ha was supposed to have, and pretty much offended all of the team with his actions for himself, and against the whole forum.

I hope you'll understand why we couldn't let him stay here.
