You can add codes to your RSBE01.gct with GCTedit.

3  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: using usb loader GX ssbb and cant load hax on: June 14, 2013, 08:58:48 PM
Oh, good heavens.

OK, so I recently had a HDD crash and it had all my Wii games on it. I was using USB Loader GX and I had Brawl. I was wondering if someone here could explain how to go about putting hacks on it using the USB or a SD card. I have no disc for Brawl just the WBFS file in my new HDD and I use the loader to play my games.

I had a guy set it all up for me once before but now that I'm starting fresh and have no way of contacting him I am in need of help so I can get back to my hacked Brawl tourneys.

So far I have Brawl up and running and in my SD card I still have my hacks set up, I just don't know how to go about setting up Brawl with the SD card and USB loader.
I've tried starting homebrew up with the SD card in and it takes me straight to Geko which will not load USB games as far as I've tried. So I use the USB loader on my Wii front screen and it goes right to my GX loader. I start up Brawl and no hacks? I tried ejecting the card, starting the loader, then reinserting the card and starting SSBB and still no good. Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated, guys n' gals.
Were you loading the game from USB Loader GX before with no problems? Make sure you have Ocarina set to "On" in the loader's settings.

Exactly. You don't have the time to wait 40 minutes for 1 picture.
I don't understand where your indignation is coming from.

How does anyone have any time for this Brawl modding crap? And it's not as if you need to be present for this forty-minute rendering period, anyway.

40 minutes for 1 picture is way too much.
Considering how much better these look than mine I'd gladly invest the time in this method. If I had it.

Still, this is pretty cool.  Thanks for the guide, OP.

So it's no different than replacing a texture? I thought because they were models and not textures the hacks would be saved differently... So using them in team brawl is no different then replacing a texture?
You got it.

The "hacks" are made to replace a character's costume slot, the game will act as it usually does and merrily load what it's given; there's no differentiation made between a costume and the "hack" with which it's being replaced.
Meaning that if I were to, say, replace Luigi's red outfit with a Mr. L "hack" and chose to play Team Brawl on red team as Luigi, the game would load the Mr. L costume. To the game, Mr. L is red Luigi. As such, it's a good idea to keep track of what you're replacing with what if you intend to play team Brawl.

FitPurin02.pcs in the Resources page's NTSC DataPartition2 folder has Bill's hat.

Not sure if this is where I'm meant to report that. Resources page seems to be part of the Vault, yeah?

These are pretty nice! What was the halo-looking texture for pit? I couldn't find it anywhere. Tongue

Oh, and could you make a portrait for this? http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=30707 Thanks! Cheesy

Sorry for the wait! Been off for a while.

That would be Angela-509 by Spex130; though I deleted the hair for the picture.

I should probably tag these...

Happy to oblige:
Boy does that bring back memories. Kirby 64 was one of my favorite games when I was younger. Still is.
Thanks for showing me.

Ah, excellent. Glad to help (even if you'd already figured it out).  Laugh

Yeah, it happens in 1v1 matches (offline) with default character models. When I remove my SD card (and codes are still loaded), it doesn't happen.
Hm. I'm not sure what'd cause that, then. Perhaps your SD Card needs a fresh format? That's the best I've got.

Sorry. Sad

To my understanding, it happens if the game's rendering a bunch of complex models at the same time. If you play with just two players on the map, each with a default Brawl model, does it still happen?

I don't remember much of this character, his temperament, or what pose you're most likely to see him in... I last played Sonic Adventure when I was eight, and all I really remember is that he's the bad guy. So, fingers crossed these don't look too wrong.
