1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Hacking Starter Pack: Super Smash Bros. Clash (SSBC): Full Stage Replacment! on: November 14, 2010, 04:24:31 PM
I might try to figure out the Tracklist Modifier so we can change the added stages' music as well.

There's a program called BCSM-GUI that makes editing songs obnoxiously easy. It works with .mp3's, not just .wav's and it automatically puts the song on your sd card where it needs to be after it converts the song to .brstm.

if you want to try it out, here's a link to a video tutorial with a download link in the description:

If you want a new title screen and menu, I could take care of that.
Sweet! Go ahead!

cool, I'll get on it. btw, if someone could send me screenshots of the characters in epic stances (one from the side and one from the back for each) as they are added to the roster, that'd be peachy. I'm hoping to get a capture card soon, and after that i won't need anyone to do it for me, but until then i'd appreciate the help.

I've watched it a time or two, but just now noticed the textures only move during Mario's wait animations, which means even if somebody finds out how this was done it would still require more work to get it right.

Yeah, I know this is about PSA, I just thought of that while I was reading the post and since there isn't a code-requests section I thought it best to share my thoughts here. And I've heard about the animated textures, but I thought the person that started it refused to give a download or clear instructions on how to do it. Did someone else figure out how he did it?
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Texture Hacking tips needed... on: October 16, 2010, 11:35:57 PM
I'm new to the KC-MM scene and haven't released any textures yet, and the textures I've finished have been largely for experimental purposes. I have a relatively good understanding of texture hacking and such as far as the technical aspect, but I'm a bit lacking on the artistic aspect. I don't really know how to make my textures up to the Brawl standard as far as detail, shading, etc. Can anyone give me some advice as to how I can make my textures higher quality? I don't really expect an exhaustive guide or anything, just a few helpful Photoshop tips. Thanks!

It may actually be possible to make Hyper Sonic flash different colors using Gecko codes. There is already a code that lets you switch textures mid-battle with a button combination. I'm no expert on Gecko codes, but I would imagine anyone with a decent understanding of them could edit this code to have the texture-switch activated by a time frame instead of buttons. In other words, you would have all of sonic's textures replaced by one of the recolors included in this download, and the code would toggle between them, giving the appearance that Sonic is flashing colors. I may be a total noob proposing something impossible, but if not it would be worth the attempt.
