\/ Useless Rant Warning \/ Well after getting back into brawl hacking recently, I figured I'd give a shot at making Brstms again. This time, I didn't suck at it, and seeing as I can't make anything else that's good now, I thought I'd make a thread and start making Brstms for everyone who makes the things that nearly fill my SD card . So, getting back into this, I've noticed quite a few touhou hacks and fans roaming the boards. As happy as I was, I noticed there was only a small amount of actual hack based upon touhou. I thought "I should contribute something," seeing as how much fun I'd had with all the hacks other people contributed. Music, along with a fitting stage can create an amazing fighting atmosphere, so music is important to have. Thats another reason I'm working on music. /\ Useless Rant Warning /\
Now that that rant is over, lets's get to the music hacks. Most of the music hacks will be touhou for now, as I am currently interested in that. It might change as time goes on as I transition in and out of different interests. My main goal right now is to get at least one of every touhou song into a Brstm file. I will rarly be using originals, but remixes I find fitting to fight to. The looping will be done to the best of my abilities and done by ear (which recently has been working out great). Due to the fact that they are remixes, not all the loops will not be 100% fluent, some songs may even be unloopable without cutting a majority of the song out (which I will not do). Updates will vary on free time and interests. I take requests, but for now, only touhou remix requests. Please report any broken youtube preview or download links. I will also be using a system I call loop points, depending on how well I think it has been looped. from zero being no loop at all, to ten being extremely fluent as if the song never stopped.
Update 1: Just starting off the thread so I only have a few Brstms right now, but the list will grow.
Stage 2 Theme - Song of the Night Sparrow ~ Night Bird
Arrangment 1
Song Information -------------------- Circle - Knights of Round Artist - Hiramatsu Toshinori Album - Knights of Round 3
BRSTM Information -------------------- Length - 04:00:83 Looped - Yes Loop Score - 8.5 Notes - Took a long time to get this loop right, but I finally got it. But then I forgot to save as a Brstm and it got deleted . Well anyways, here's the version that I had to redo. The original would have gotten a loop score of 9.5
Stage 6B Boss - Kaguya Houraisan's theme - Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess
Arrangment 1
Song Information -------------------- Circle - SoundChaos Artist - MAJI Album - SoundChaos preview BRSTM Information -------------------- Length - 02:37:66 Looped - No Loop Score - 0.0 Notes - The reason I picked this remix first despite the unloopableness was that I just liked the version of the song so much. Now, the reason it was unloopable was that the start of the song is made to sound 8-bit, as the end ends with a sort of techno feel. So, with that being said, I decided not to loop it and just make it run start to end. And the reason I just didn't cut out the start was because I feel that is an important part of the song.
Song Information -------------------- Circle - AQUAELIE × Unlucky Morpheus Artist - Xi & Yukimura Hirano (Hirano Yukimura) Album - Unbeatable Accomplice BRSTM Information -------------------- Length - 03:40:37 Looped - Yes Loop Score - 8.0 Notes - 8.0 Because it sounds a little jumpy at the looping point. Might redo it sometime.

Song Information -------------------- Circle - SoundChaos Artist - MAJI Album - TEC BOX Ex.2 ~ "Triple Time Party!!" BRSTM Information -------------------- Length - 09:32:11 Looped - Yes Loop Score - 9.5 Notes - Would have made the loop score 10, but something seemed just the tiniest bit....off. Well anyways, this is a very long song. It was so easy to loop, and such a wonderful melody, I just couldn't pass it up!

------------------------------ I hope I made you all so far. Any "format of organizing suggestions" would be appreciated. I'm not to fond of using so any spoiler tabs. Downloads all moved to the Brawl Vault, link in my sig.
Okay thank you, the file size was bigger, forgot to check that. I was on a break from brawl hacking for a while so I'm just getting back into the swing of things. Anyways, is there any unnecessary files in there that I may be able to delete for space (other than the wifi thing.) Also, the file size keeps jumping up when i replace it with a file brawl box says is the same sizeas the one im replacing.
Can the SD loader code read mu_menumain.pac? I put it both in pf/menu2 and pfmenu2 to be sure and its not loading the files in it. I just put the stage select screen edits in there with Brawlbox.
Editing the strap loader isn't really hard. First, you need to get the file from somewhere, you could edit someone elses to get the file, or just take it from the SSBB ISO. If you get it from the ISO, it is located in "Partition 2/menu/strap/StrapEn.pac, And if you get it from someone elses....well you can find them around this forum. Edit the file like you would a character texture file, then re-instert into your ISO, or if your using the SD loader method, put it in "private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/menu/strap/StrapEn.pac"
Okay, I've been wondering if there is a significant difference between using the SD loader method, or burning the ISO to a disk. What I mean is I know that SD loader has a limit to what files can be loaded, as the ISO method does not, but what other hackable files can not be loaded through SD, but only with the ISO method. Sorry, I'm not good at explaining things
