Hello again! Well things. errrr. Let's see... Robin's had an actual release! I'm a bit late on this though since that was quiiite a while ago now. Still.
Now for... new? Stuff! Chrom stuff! Funny how he actually made it in Ultimate, huh? Well like, this stuff is sorta based around Ultimate, I'll likely be doing Ultimate updates for all the Fire Emblem/Zelda characters as I've done with Smash 4 versions since I'm obsessed, but in this case, these things are to be used in the existing Chrom I have.

Still need to stabilise his footing, the basic thing is there though, this was sorta done in an hour or two. or three. is it weird that i still only animate via BrawlBox?
Jab
Kinda funky, but Chrom seems to take Roy's reverse-gripped attacks, and un-reverses then. For jab it's not so different, especially from a distance.
Forward tilt
Forward tilt looks so different from Roy's, strange how such a simple change makes it feel so different.
Up tilt
Not actually shown in anything officially, so I don't know if this is his actual up tilt, though I'm just following the 'un-reverse the reverse gripped' animations theme for this

Aye, I've tried the same to no avail, so it's not just you. I've a feeling a code or something would be needed for this to work properly, or perhaps some super obvious is missing. hmmmm.
Do you mean like, in Replay menu? Not sure, were I to guess, maybe something to do with internal name, since character names are based on their internal names here, too.
Why would you even want to port animations to brawl from melee???? Just because you may like melee better than brawl doesn't mean you should bring all of the bad stuff from melee into brawl. Sorry if I'm being rude about it, but seriously, if brawl has some things better than melee, you shouldn't ruin them because you like melee better.
Well I mean... Animations. like an example for their use is for porting characters not in Brawl, such as Young Link, or ones that are different like Marth's sharper looking throws. There's a definite use for them that has nothing to do with what you're saying.
...I can't really answer the question at hand though, since as far as I know there's still no way to port them, and all Melee-ish animations that do exist were recreated and not ported. Sorry.
