For number 3 of your questions, CSS is actually the "InfFacexxx.brres" in "info"->"portrite" Also, I could make the CSS for you if you like. Btw, if what you want to change isn't the CSS, but actually the CSP, the character select portraits, those are in the "common5_en.pac" file in "system"
The dropbox link was disabled, so you need to go to the main download page, which is the GoogleDrive page. I'm pretty sure you need a Google account though.
I assume you want Brawl icons for that? If so, it'll be super-fast; if Melee, it will take longer(I'll have some characters to custom-make icons for), and if N64 SSB, it will take a really long time for me to do it.(A lot of characteres to make custom-icons for.)
I don't know if there is, but since the ordinary CSSes have alpha, I can make it for you, no problem. If I'm understanding you correctly, you want the SSBB stock icons to be the icons for the characters in the normal "Brawl" mode, right?
All I know about this is that it's largely complained about that Sonic's and Shadow's movesets mix, and that there are texture imports for Sonic that are Shadow, that you could port over a Sonic clone with no effect, as that would be Sonic, though it would make it so that he has Sonic's moves and not his own PSA. (Btw, I'm pretty sure that his ball form is in his skin's .pac/.pcs and not his moveset files[pretty sure, but not 100% sure], so you could still make his roll and what not the same color as him; if it is in the moveset files, you can just copy Sonic's moveset files for the second port and simply put the texture there.) This, however, is if you want Shadow WITHOUT, and I repeat, WITHOUT Shadow's moveset, but with Sonic's moveset.
Are you using Riivolution? Because afaik, it doesn't happen when I used Gecko, but all the time with Riivo. That's bebause, iirc, Riivo disables the sd slot or something like that.
That makes sense. Although, Riivolution lets you to mod more than just Brawl, unlike Gecko, so both have their advantages/disadvantages(That, and when I used Gecko before I switched to Riivolution, it would occasionally freeze the Wii and do the white noise without any bugs or anything; I know this because when I tried Riivolution with the same mods on it, I haven't changed what's on it, other than just updating some of the textures, for like half a year, and still no buzz.) I think that's the only downside to Riivolution, but it's such an easy fix, as I explained above.
No it doesn't, because mine isn't locked, as I can edit it just fine, but whenever I put it in the Wii, it does that bug; it has something to do with the files "Replacing" the originals, I think(How it makes the Wii think that the files are on the SD Card may null the SD card to the Wii)
