Hey guys-- I'm so close to my hacking goals! I finally got the custom stages in STGcustom Pack 2 ( http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=13586) to show up in the SSS, however, every time I select one of these custom stages (OR normal stages!), my game freezes. Now, I haven't tried replacing the .PAC files with my desired stages yet, but I thought the pack was supposed to come with a few defaults? That's probably not the problem regardless...... could it have anything to do with me selecting Individual Pokemon as my character? I've always tried going to a custom stage after picking Charizard.I don't know if this is relevant, but I didn't have a "modules" folder (or .rel files) until I downoaded Stage Roster Expansion 2.0. I was using hacks fine w/o them, so I didn't think they were necessary, until I saw this download. Currently, I placed the modules folder (that has nothing but the CUSTOMSTAGE rels) in my "pf" folder. My last guess is that it's a conflicting code I got when combining two .gct's w/ GCTEdit (ASF1nk's DarkFlaming Blue CSS & STGcustom Pack 2). Is this the case? Or could it be something else entirely? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you using Riivolution? That's the only thing I can think of that might cause it..... If you aren't, try remaking your GTC, I guess. If charizard works on other stages he'll work fine on the custom ones.

Ah--shoulda mentioned that in the OP. No, I'm on Gecko...
I just tried to see if I could even load regular stages, and EVEN THOSE REGULAR STAGES froze my wii. ARRGH! This was also regardless of character, as I tried it once w/ Charizard, and once w/ Falco.
I also read a couple of past forums and attempted to add the "Disable Custom Stages (046B841C 48000040)" code, but no avail there. What the heck is going on?

I'm sure Charizard isn't the problem. I use the same code but I'm going to bed, if no one helps you for when I come back tomorrow, I'll try to do so then, but for now, ciao~

Regular stages freezing too? That's odd. You sure it wasn't a hacked stage that was corrupted or something? If it's not the character, and the stage usually works fine, the only thing I can suggest is to reformat your SD card...

Thanks, I appreciate it. I agree with you, Charizard isn't the problem--the game freezes when I select other characters as well. I'm positive it's not a corrupted stage. Currently, the only stages I have are the ones in Stage Roster Expansion 2.0. I'll try reformatting my SD card- it HAS been getting a workout today with all my failed Hacking attempts :lol . Huh. The module folder shouldn't be a problem, after all why would it affect other stages?
WAITWAITWAIT you said you used GCTEdit? Did you get anything called "Unknown codes"?

A bunch. I would combine the two files manually if I knew how >__<. Think that's it? What other ways are there to combine gct's?

That might be it, I've never used a GCT with "Unknown codes" in it though so I wouldn't know. I don't think you can combine them, but in ASF1nk's thread all of his codes are there, so copy and paste those into a text file. Then, go get the codes from Mewtwo2000's stage pack and paste them in as well. Save it and open with codemanager, then export to GCT.

IT WORKED!!! I was worried, because when I first tried it, I got another freeze, but after trying another stage, IT LOADED! PRAISE JESUS!! It looks like some of the stages are just going to perpetually freeze me, but as long as I have a few custom stage spots open, I'm good to go! Thank you so much for you help! Now I've only gotta trudge through figuring out how to set up the stages i want with the music I want...lol. Any idea how you can tell which stage you pick is which in your stage/melee folder?
