Solved Issue :
Recently, my Wii's DVD drive decided to crap out, and I really don't want to order
a new one to replace it, I got a UNEEK+DI environment running, and it plays all my
ripped games great, but I could not manage to get Brawl+ to run on it. I've looked
through Google so many times and checked tons of different sites, including this one,
and haven't been able to find anything.

I figured I might as well ask all you guys and gals here if you know
of a way to launch Brawl+ in UNEEK, I've already tried to use GeckoOS (1.9.3),
but that just gave me a nice blackscreen, NeoGamma (R9.56) says there are too
many codes even with the gameconfig.txt in all the places it checks for it.

I really would like to get this up and running so I can get back to working on some
of my vertex hacks, can't test them if I can't even use them, right ?

Oh, and I wasn't sure if this was the correct forum,
didn't see anywhere else this would fit into.

Thanks Albafika for taking some time to assist me, appreciate it.

I managed to get the Brawl+ codeset loaded using that old Gecko OS Mod ( here )

Kinda strange that the Gecko OS Mod worked, when the original would not boot at all,
but thanks for the help !

    Welcome to the board. Wink

Why don't you use CFG USB Loader to load your Wii games? Those support codes.

Although, according to the following video, there's a way to add codes:

Adding Capability for Running Codes in UNEEK+DI

    Thanks !

I suppose I should have included this little piece of info,
you know that little cable that connects the mother board
to the DVD drive ? Well that came out, and the brown clip
isn't there so I can't re-insert the cable, so the DVD drive is
a nice paperweight now, and I've tried the 3 main USB loaders,
they will all say there was a Disc read error, please eject, and so on.
I know that the USB loaders need to be able to tell the DVD drive
there is a game in it to work, so USB Loaders are out of the question.
The DVD drive is currently sitting next to this laptop, I might strip it down
and use it to hold stuff, not sure what else to do with it.

You don't need a DVD Drive to boot games from USB, if that's what you're saying. .-.

But I thought that any of the USB Loaders had to be able to
communicate with the DVD drive to tell it there was a game in it in order for it to work,
Did that change recently ? I gave it another go a few minutes ago
with the latest d2x and everything, same error with multiple games.

EDIT : I also saw that video  before I posted this topic, used the latest revision
of UNEEK+DI which already had that change in dip.c ( I think they added that change at r169 ? ),
when loading with OSSSleepThread, it hangs when it goes to load the game, and I have to delete
the nand configuration file, and with the other option it gives you, it lets you hit start
on the disk channel, but after that, eternal blackscreen.

EDIT 2 : Oh, and if it matters, I launch UNEEK by BootMii.

EDIT 3 : This is where I got the info about the Wii needing to detect the DVD drive
for it to work ( here )
Direct Quote : " Confirmed...sorry, but the drive has to be in there. It doesn't necessarily have to be 100% working, but the Wii needs to detect that it is there for you to be able to load any games. "
The Wii can't detect it if the cable that connects the motherboard to the drive isn't connected, and I can't
reconnect it since for some odd reason, that brown clamp that holds it in place is nowhere to be found, so
I have no way of using now.

Yes, I recall now. Well, honestly, I went through this. The DVD Drive didn't want too read discs, but it was still attached, just that it wouldn't work. Guess it didn't stop USB Loaders from working. Honestly, I'm clueless here.

Well, in that video, it explains how to use Codes with UNEEK? You aid you can load games with it, if that's the case, just find how to add codes. ._.

I don't know if you missed the edits on my previous post, or if I confirmed the changes
after you posted that, but it hangs on me with both of the hooks, pretty sure these are
the steps to get it working,

Put kenobiwii.bin in the USB SNEEK folder
    Set the debugger to 'on'
Leave 'wait for debugger to 'off'
Set Hook Type to either 'OSSSleepThread' or 'VIWaitForRetrace'
    Save config
    Launch Game

If I set it to OSSSleepThread, it will hang when it goes to load the game,
if I set it to VIWaitForRetrace, the game will hang after the screen goes dark
    after hitting start.

I'll give it another go though :3

Edit : OSSSleepThread hanged a few seconds after saving the configuration.
Edit 2 : VIWaitForRetrace also hanged after a few seconds.

Honestly not sure what to do at this point, I do what the steps tell you to do to
get the codes working, but all it does is freeze.

    UPDATE

Thanks for all the help Albafika, really appreciate it, I managed to solve this issue by trying out that
old Gecko OS Mod from a year back, I really didn't expect that to work, I'll probably create
a custom forwarder channel for it later.
