I am trying to create a Flying Man move set from the MOTHER series. I have successfully replaced certain moves so far, like Fair, USpecial, DSpecial, NSpecial, and even have the hitboxes.

However, I only took the moves from other characters and replaced them onto Falco via brawlbox and the damage + knockback via Smash Attacks. The problem is that whenever I use these moves, Falco's bones now morph to look like Ganondorf, Donkey Kong, etc.

How does one edit bones so that Falco may do the said moves and not look retarded as well as speeding up the actual animation of the move, not just the hitbox?

Also, how does one create a new move (one from scratch?)

Open said character's fitmotion in the previewer of BrawlBox.
Bring up the animation that you want to "proportion fix". On the bottom, go to frame2.
    -Click Insert
    -Go to frame 0
    -Click copy
    -Go to frame1
    -Click paste
If the animation in question is a repeating animation such as wait1, fall animations and such, copy frame1 again and paste it over the last frame in the animation. Hit play and it should now be in the correct proportions. You have to do this entire process each animation.

Although, for some reason this doesn't always work. I've came across a few animations that will not proportion-fix no matter how many times you attempt it.

    -

To make new animation, delete all frames other than frame1. You do this by clicking the right box which should say something like 50/50. Just click it, erase and type 1. You can also just hold down on the arrow icon there and it does it one at a time.

If you are using an older version of Brawl Box, you have to bring up the left-side menu and click each bone individually, then go to the right side and change the offsets until you get that bone in the position you want. Repeat with each bone for each frame of each animation.

If you have the newest version of Brawl Box, you can just click the bone directly on the model, then use the colored rings to move it as you like. It speeds up the process dramatically.

    -

You can speed up animations without brawlbox by using frame modifiers in psa if I'm not mistaken.

I never understood why you had to insert a frame in Frame 2; what does that do?

Also if I might suggest something, copying Frame 0 to Frame 1 is giving it a T-Stance which will not make the animation look 100% smooth. What I usually do is copy Frame 1 from Wait1 and paste it to Frame 1 of this animation. It looks a lot more smooth than if you have the T-Stance as Frame 1 for anything.

If you neglect to insert into frame2, it can cause the animation to become a jumbled mess. I have no idea what causes it, but plenty of times I've forgotten to insert at frame2 and ended up with a mess after I pasted frame0 onto frame1. It doesn't always cause it, but rather than risk it, I find it best to just insert and save yourself the risk.

For me it tends to be quicker to just use the T frame until you get it finished, then just copy/paste the wait1/fall1 in depending on whether it's a ground or air move.

    Ah ok. Just a suggestion.

I don't fully understand what you mean by "on the bottom, go to frame 2"
For example. I am trying to proportionize Fair on Falco, which I have stolen from Ganon.
Do you want me to open the AttackAirF file and scroll all the way down? What should I be looking at?
Sorry to be such a pain Smiley

Don't worry, I too once had no idea how to get that.

You have to open up FitFalco00.pac or pcs, expand ModelData[0], 3DModels(NW4R), FitFalco00, and right click that and click "Preview".

Right clicking while in brawl box? It just asks me if I want to export/replace and stuff..

EDIT: Oops specter I didn't see your post. Thanks I got it opened. However, when I preview, the box is empty. The side margins with all the tools are there, but not a model. I have tried it with other costumes as well..

EDIT again: I figured it out. Now to follow the steps mentioned earlier

No problem. I also used to have no idea how to make the box get all that stuff to show up, but all you have to do is click the bars on all four sides of the screen. I was like "OHHhhhhh......".
