On Brawlvault you have lots of characters to replace and stuff and i have it all working and all but im wondering about the import characters. Were do you put that and how do you select them because i asume they dond have characters portraits. Would be nice to know since there are some pretty cool characters in that section.  Oh shi~

They don't need the portraits, but from what I remember when I used portraits (when I had space), I think they went in the portrie folder. Not sure how to make them myself. A youtube tutorial would be best, since SEEING it done while hearing the explanation really helps.

If you find imports for characters, like "Sephiroth over R.O.B.", that usually means the module used in the download is a Marth module, since that's who Sephiroth is based off of in Brawl hacking. You could take ANY FitMarth files and rename them to FitRobot, including movesets, motions, and costumes, and have them work. Same here. If you port a character over another, you just have to put them in the folder like normal (if you ported a model/texture over Peach, name it FitPeach00, FitPeach01, or whatever costume slot you wanna replace), and if you ported a different module over Peach, if you figure out what character the module is based off of (usually by looking at the attacks, the "Dante over Olimar" hack uses an almost perfect Ike module, meaning you could put Vincent or Squall as a costume on the Olimar Dante, and with a perfect module have no bugs, or a lot less).

So yeah, whoever the character is for, just rename it to that characters Fit files, and if it comes with a module, use it and then rename the files, but usually they're done for you, unless you're improvising and putting movesets from one character onto another with a module.

I see, so there just replacements like any other character texture hack. There are just not linked to a specific character. Nice to know because Marth and Ike have mostly the coolest characters. No i thought some had managed to exaly expand the roster somehow.

I have exaly downloaded something that (well i havent tried it out yet) supposed to expand the character roster. I couldnt find any info about that so i thought it had something to do with eachother. I do know how to replace characters though. Wel thx for the replies.
