Your screwed man, your disk drive died. You could send it to Nintendo or just buy a new Wii. Your call.

I would've recommended USB loaders but you can't use those either now, unless you pirate.

    HOLD IT!

He isn't completely screwed! You can buy another disk drive, look on Ebay, also, take a look at this.

This worked for a friend of mine, he had the exact same problem... It should work for you, the bad thing is, you have to pay for it, but, if it fixes your Wii, I say it's worth it. Wink

    Yep that was me Cheesy

Don't bother sending it into Nintendo if you have Homebrew on your wii, they'll just send it back unrepaired with a note telling you that there's no way of fixing it and to purchase a new wii.

Like Data said, your best bet is to order a new DVD drive on ebay. Some sellers may offer to install it. And that guide...OOOOOHHH, they REALLY know their stuff...but you also need some differently-sized triwing and phillips head screwdrivers to take apart the wii without screwing up the screws...just go to frys.com and enter 'video game screwdriver kit' in the search button...

it might cost a lot to repair it yourself, with buying the guide, the dvd drive and the screwdriver set, but you save about $80 over buying a new wii...

Why not just take off homebrew while sending to Nintendo then put it back on arterwards.

My friend sent in his Wii because that same thing happened to him, and he took off Hombrew so that they would fix it, and after they fixed it, they updated it for him, so I suggest that you not send it in, even if it would be easier just to let them fix it. But is it really worth losing Homebrew for ever, unless they can get passed 4.3.
