Hi, I was using Gecko OS until my old 1 GB SD Card broke, and all of the working fine. But then I got a 4GB SDHD card, that only works with Riivolution (since cards with more memory than 2GB cannot work with Gecko OS). Everything was working fine including the THPs, until I got to the character select screen...
It froze.
I then tried using AS1fan's CSS with all of his codes, and it still froze. I named all of the files correctly and put them in the right places.
I named it sc_selcharacter_en and put it in pf/menu2. I even tried putting it in RSBE/pfmenu2 or naming it sc_selcharacter, and it still did not work. And even if I make my own CSS, it will not work. I do not understand if it's something I am doing wrong, or if CSS's just don't work with Riivolution.
Please help me or tell me what is going on. Thank you.

What version is your game? Only Pal can use sc_selchar_en.pac with Riivolution, try using common5.pac....

Oh, okay. That probably explains everything. Is there anyway I can make my own layout with the common5.pac like the arrangement of the icons and such?

Yeeeah... I edited the common5.pac in BrawlBox and put my own portraits, layouts, and such in the file, but when I loaded up Brawl everything was still the same Brawl+ crap. I still do not understand what is going on.

Try moving the Brawl+ CSS to somewhere else (as in not in the folder it is currently in), if that doesn't work then tell me: how do you load Brawl+ anyway?

What I meant was have you downloaded all the Brawl+ files or do you stream it of the Internet...

I went to smashmods and did the automatic Brawl+ download for Riivolution and it extracted all of those files to my SD Card.

Try looking for the edited (Brawl+) menu on your SD-card, and try replacing that with your own sc_selcharacter_en.pac (you can move the portraits using the CSS organiser).

Jeez, why isn't anything working?! I even tried naming common5.pac "common5_en.pac" and that didn't even work. I tried editing the common5.pac with my own sc_selcharacter.pac and sc_selmap.pac, but it will never show in-game.
[EDIT]: And I thought you said only PAL can use the sc_selcharacter_en.pac without editing the common5.pac.

Yes Pal can use sc_selcharacter_en.pac, but only with Riivolution.

So you downloaded all brawl plus FILES (not the .xml that streams it from the RiiFS-server)...
Then I don't understand why editing/ replacing the common5.pac didn't work... If you however stream it via the RiiFS server, then the streamed menu overpowers the downloaded menu, in other words: it'll ALWAYS load the Brawl+ menu from the server instead of the one from your SD...

Google ''Riivolution Wiki'' and click the 1st or 2nd link, on the main page click on the amount of pages (should be around 19) and at the bottom of the page there should be a link to the page called ''List of RiiFS servers''. The rest is self-explanatory.
