I don't know if this is the right place to ask this or not, but I'll ask anyway: what kind of font is normally used for the following?
Character Names (found in MiscData30)
Character Select Portart Names (found in MiscData30
In-Game Character Names (found in the files such as the Info.pac)
I'd greatly appreciate it if someone would answer this question for me.

They use there own font.
Some people just take the names from the characters name already in the game and mix them.

MS Paint is better than you think.
I'd know, half the stuff i hack involves ms paint.
1 quater involves GIMP.
the last quater is right clicking, replace, right clicking, replace >.<

Photoshop is best, gimp forks for the free thign too.. And if Gimps doens't run on your pc suddenly like form e wich reallyyyy sucks, you can always use Paint.net wich has the basic stuff you need for this kind of things too.
