Hello, I am mostly a noob at this. I already have more than a dozen model textures downloaded in my game, but I want to know some more stuff. I have read all that I need to know for the basic stuff that has been posted about how to input these downloaded files on my SD card, but some I can't seem to figure out as some don't show up in my game.
1. Although I know how to insert model textures/PSA model texture into files on the SD card, some of them don't seem to work when I play a Brawl match. I do put them into the correct spots in the SD card, but nothing appears in the game. For example: Ike Lawliet's "Shikai Ichigo" texture, I put them into the correct files, but the model texture doesn't show in the game. I’m assuming I’m doing it right since some character have this and it works in the game when I load it up, but I'm probably wrong as some can be different.
1a. Some textures seem the need to be "Imported" (Character-Import-character's name here). I don't know if I put it in a character's folder or make a new folder for "Imported Characters" for these textures to work. I insert these files into the character’s folder, but it doesn’t appear in the game. Sometimes they also show like this: Character-ImportModelTexture-character's name here. Tell me if I’m doing it right or there’s another folder mainly for imported model texture characters.
2. I download a stage and insert that downloaded stage into the proper folder, but it doesn't show up in the game or it freezes the Wii. For example I download "Battlefield N64" by Mewtwo2000 and I insert it into the correct stage folder, but it doesn't show in the game when I pick Battlefield. The stage file’s name for Battlefield is STGBATTLEFIELD.PAC and I insert the downloaded file in the STGBATTLEFIELD.PAC folder. Stage/Melee/STGBATTLEFIELD.PAC/downloaded file name, right? My explaination also applies for “ImportModelTexture” stages as well.
3. I understand I need Riivolution for Sound Effects for characters and all other stuff, as I have it downloaded. When I edit the sound "smashbros_sound.brsar" file in a Hex Editor (even when I follow instructions in the downloaded sound files) They aren’t heard in the game and most of the time when I boot Riivolution with the sound.brsar loaded, Riivolution doesn’t work and freezes my Wii with a black screen as if it’s about to start (but it doesn’t). I have enabled VI Hook, enabled Codes, and enabled the File Code Replacements before the freezing. Why is this and can I get around this problem?
Help would really be appreciated, as I love these hacks and want the most I can get out of the hacks like everyone else has.

1. Please specify your folder paths
1a. There is no folder called "Imported Charaters" if you are using the File Patch Code
2. if the name of the file is other then STGBATTLEFIELD, rename it to said name
3. Hmmm....thats a tough one...
And heres my question....do you have a compatible SD card that works with the Wii?

Well the riivo. problem is because you can't use all the codes that exits, only codes like, css fix or colored shields etc. and you have to set it on joypad hook, well that works for me. and the sound effects, I think that its your region, i'm not sure, but the most (I think all) the sound effects are NTSC-U, USA, so if your pal you can't use it(I think, never tried it ) and yeah I think that your folder path isn't good or something, if its in, private>wii>app>RSBP (or RSBE if you're from the US)>pf and in the pf folder you've got some other folders like fighter, stage, system etc. so, if you knew this, I think you renamed them the wrong way or something

1. Let's go with the Ichigo texture for the example. I put it in Marth Fighter folder like you're supposed to, but it doesn't show in the game. pf/Fighter/Marth. But what about "imported" characters (also "imported" stages)? Do they need a separte folders from the regular Fighter/Stage folders, or something? 1a. File Patch Code is both in Riivolution and HBC, right? Oh, forgot to mention I'm using both. I should have mentioned this for better answers. They seem to work fine with the other both existing o this shouldn't be a problem, I'm sure. Probably everyone else has both channels on their Wii as well? 2. So you're saying if the stage is named after a Vortex (making an example made up stage name), the Stage file should be called STGVORTEX and I insert the downloaded vortex stage file in there, right? Stage/Melee/STGVORTEX/the vortex stage? Because I put the N64 stage in the STGBATTLEFIELD.PAC folder and it's file name is also "STGBATTLEFIELD". Also, does the main Stage Folder name need to have the ."PAC" in it ( for "STGBATTLEFIELD.PAC")? Or is the ".PAC" not need for the main stage folder name that I need to insert the downloaded files in? 3. Yeah it worked for a couple of times, then that happened. I did not mess with it in the SD card or anything bad, so it's just bad luck or something. The sound.brsar file was able to be booted in Riivolution, but like I said after a couple times, the riivolution went blank. I can take out the sound.brasar file out of the SD card and the riivolution will work, but I can't have sounds. This is probably just bad luck. My SD card should be compatible, it's been working so far for the dozen textures I already have downloaded and inserted in the game. Unless an SD card can work for some things and still be not compatible for other things? I have a Sony SD card, if this info helps.

Is that a hack in the game, if it is, I'm not using that kind of code. I'm just using the main code so the hacks could work in the game. But if it's like a code for the Riivolution, I don't know about these advanced codes (or I haven't seen it on riivolution), I'm too a noob for that (maybe I missed it?). I have seen the joypad hook on riivolution, but did not bother to mess with it because it might have ended the same way (the Wii going blank). But if there's more, I would like to hear it, if you got anything else. I'm US, not pal. So the sounds should work. :c I have the path private>wii>app>RSBE>pf set up, then I have it split up in pf for the different folders of Fighter, Stage, and Sound. So it should be correct. Unless you're telling me that I need to make a new path for each "split up" folder that's in the pf I want, but that's probably not what you're saying, but just saying it anyways for clearification (lol).

Well yeah the coloured shields is just a hack, it makes your shield different if your holding Z, R, L or you know, if your using shield:P
but uhm, what codes are you using?
the only codes I use are: unregisterd pause camera replay camera coloured shields css fix and thats it, and i'm using riivo, so if you're using only those codes, make sure that you enabled the joypad hook and the ocarina handler on, and you have to have the right riivolution template:P

1. Any and all character textures go in pf/fighter/(character name). Make sure also that these files are all renamed to Fit(character).pac or Fit(character)##.pcs, the ## being a place-holder for whatever costume ID you want to put there. 2. No, you're supposed to rename the .pac to the same name of the stage you're replacing. Whatever Vortex is replacing just rename the pac to that; for example, if it's replacing Final Destination, it'd be STGFINAL.PAC. Also, why do you have a folder called "STGBATTLEFIELD.PAC"?? All of your hacked stages go in your /melee folder. No sub-folders are required to be created in the melee folder.

Try the Disable Custom Stages code then.

With riivolution, I can't get my In Game Brawl Portraits and Result Screen Portraits to be seen in the game. They're in the right folders (Info and Menu). I have the folders set up like this:
brawlmods/textures/info
brawlmods/textures/menu
This there any other file path for me to see my images? They can be see with gecko, but not on riivolution. CSPs work just fine, but not these other images.

Really? I've seen people on youtube who have combinations of battle portraits with riivolution (with sound effects), result screen portraits with riivolution (with sound effects), and all images with riivolution (with sound effects). I mean, they have to use riivolution for sound effects, but they also have all the images.Okay it somehow fixed itself, now I see my images. But one more thing though, it seems that I can't use the unrestricted camera anymore. How do I fix this for use in riivolution? I have it in code manager and saved in the root "codes" folder. Is there another GTC file that needs to be saved in Codes, or does the RSBE01.gtc file need to be named to something else?
