I'll try, I'll be the weak modeler, but hey, what the hell! Brawl legend of zelda edition maybe with goron, zora and deku link?
Edit:You should let me join since I'll make you all look better, unless I go crazy on models.

Yes! We definitely need some more Zelda! Goron powerhouse v.s. Zora ninja! Probably model making won't be as popular as textures because of how much skill is probably nessessary to do it, but I suppose I'll give it a shot. Though I'm sure downloading other people's models will be all the rage.

So... why hasn't anybody posted here recently? It seems like a pretty important project.

Your animations are too stiff, make youre characters in constant movement and more flamboyant. Think of what your body language would be when your doing that stuff, and take breathing and little movements into consideration.

I'm not that far into my program... including rigging and character modeling, I was planning on more movements for characters until I realized that I couldn't really do any of that until I rigged them. so they all ended up having singular poses. so I really wasn't trying to make them move at all, just model stuff and make a cinematic short.
but it was overall the best final project of the class, and I'll hopefully learn more for making characters better soon

I really don't think model replacing is going to work guys, even if your model did get into the game, would the game know how to move it. I think it would look like an unplayable T-stance blob.

well I believe since the models are loaded with the skeletons of each characters, it would be as simple to at least modify the original models into whatever, considering tons of the characters are playable with moveswaps, and each moveswap could work completely with the right material to avoid defaulting to t-poses and game freezing. so the hardest character "templates" to follow or their skelitons to apply at least correctly would be kirby, game & watch, jigglypuff, bowser, samus/zzsamus, zelda/shiek, and pokemon trainer

Man, from now on they shouldn't tell us they're starting a project, so it doesn't eat away at us like this. Also in contraindication to my last sentence, I'm thinking of makeing a new model for every character.
