How come the downloads in the statistics, and the downloads in the signature are different?
I wanted to ask picano about that. I do believe all of the numerical values in the BV home page are not taking Collabs into account. Unlike the signatures, and the DL count in the Profile. (Btw, I checked everyone's "real" DL count before giving the awards, so there's no problem there.) |

No offense, but some of the posts here should be put under the Moderation thread instead. This thread is for posting about problems (glitches, not reports), updates, and suggestions. Filling the thread up with moderation related issues takes away from the rest of the thread.

This is indeed true. That page only counts everything posted by the user themselves, even if they are part of a collaborated thing.
Let me take my Cloud as an example. Cloud is collaborated with me, .Fade, haloedhero and a couple of others. However, for the Brawlvault rankings (Top Downloads, Most Popular Artist etc), it only counts for MY downloads, not .Fade or haloedhero's etc. This is also the reason why despite my profile saying I average just over 1200 downloads per hack, the Brawlvault rank says I average almost 2000 (because it's only taking into account the hacks that I myself have posted). |

The 9001 people who have said collabs don't count are right.
It would require a rewrite of the stats page to be generated once daily in order to do that.
...
It really should be done but I neither have the time nor the incentive to do so. (It's not interesting damnit! I do boring programming for 8 hours a day at work. ;_;)

However, the file on the download is a .wav file. Apparently, the uploader expects people to use Sawndz to make the switch themselves. Now, my question is "Is this allowed on the Vault?" I'd think that it wouldn't be allowed, but I thought that I'd ask first to make sure. |
