This topic is specificly for making suggestions regarding model importing, if you can import models from both Wii and (from what was bluntly explained) PC games...then why not from consoles like the PS3 or Xbox360...or even expand into PS2 and PSP models.
and yes...file type is also important...but from what you (bluntly) are saying, theirs a converter in the works.

It's not just Wii game models that can be imported, some can't, the only games we can import models from are games that use .mdl0 format.
Other games from other consoles don't use .mdl0 obviously but a converter has been slowly progressing here: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=17547.0 . I really don't see the point of this thread. >_>
A Team Fortress 2 hat has literally been imported into Brawl. Although, The import is not hi-poly anymore after the import, they turn low-poly.

I really don't see the point of this thread. >_> I know what you mean -.-
I looked into it because it was just another thread... I wasn't expecting progress to actually pick up with it :/
you'd more see the point though from a dev-er's pov... (if you were a dev-er yourself)
the original point about the thread was once what the title says... but yea

lol, but look how far we've come with this stuff! Either way, we're (slowly) conquering the model issue.

It's not low-poly, it's got the exact same amount of polygons as it did in TF2. Either way, my method isn't just used for TF2, it's just what I had to work with at the time.
