Injecting the Sc_Selcharacter into the Common5.pac

So, I'm using BeyondYou's awesome Riivolution for GeckoOS users, and it states in the README file "Riivolution uses the Common5.pac for CSPs, CSSs, SSPs, etc. If you currently use a sc_selcharacter.pac and/or a sc_selmap for those purposes, you'll have to insert them into a Common5.pac for them to appear in game."

I attempted to do this, I followed these steps:
----------------------------------------------------------
- Download a Common5.pac
-Open it in BrawlBox
-Replace "Sc_Selcharacter_en" with my Sc_Selcharacter which contains my CSPS, CSSs, ect.
-Place the Common5.pac in Pf > System
----------------------------------------------------------

I have IkeLawliet's Strap Loader, and it freezes saying "PAAAWNCHING!!!" and the head stops rotating.

I also tried deleting the _en from files which harnessed it..
 


Could you help me?

uhm, you can use a sc selcharacter.pac with riivo

well I use it and it works fine...so just try using the sc_selcharacter and not the common5..

I can't access the original Riivolution...so I use BeyondYou's
I'm essentially asking how to inject the Sc_Selcharacter into the Common5.pac

well as you said above, open the common5 in brawlbox and replace the one there with your own. I don't know why it's freezing, mine doesn't and I use the xml I gave you .

maybe it's not the common 5 but the common3, because when I tried to use the common3 it froze because it was an american common3 and i'm pal

Hm...D:
I'm going to go re-download a Common.pac from a different website and retry 
I'm not very experienced, so I don't know what an xml is, but if it has something to do with file patching, then
 
"DO NOT USE THE FILE PATCH CODE with Riivolution. But any other codes you want to use go into the following directory. X:/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/RSBE01.gct"

riivolution is using xml files to patch everthing so you can play with you textures and stuff
