Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or why it's not working. I use Gecko, and I'm using these two codes.
and basically I just did what the tutorial said (I downloaded the stage expansion 2.0 tutorial). It said
"The stages are to be named using this pattern:
Stage\Melee\STGCUSTOM##.PAC
The ‘##’ is to be replaced with the id of the empty stage slot you want to fill.
You can find the id of each stage slot by looking at the image above."This was the image above
and on my wii, it looked the same way except for instead of white spaces it was all hanenbow and pokemon stadium icons. I don't know if it's suppose to be that way.
So anyway, 01 (referring to the image above) would be battlefield. And a stage I downloaded was to replace battlefield, so I take the stage I downloaded and rename it STGCUSTOM01.pac and the put it my stage folder.
Then the instructions say
"
There is a special modified rel file for every stage in brawl in the download folder.
If you wanted to use a stage that originally went over skyworld with this code, you would have to copy the st_custom for Skyworld.rel file into your Module folder, then rename it using this pattern:
Module\st_custom##.rel
The ‘##’ is to be replaced with the id of the empty stage slot you want to fill.
You can find the id of each stage slot by looking at the image above."So then I take the battlefield rel from the download folder and rename it st_custom01.rel and put it in my Module folder.
Then I load up Gecko and then select the Hanenbow icon where 01 would be (referring to the image above) and then it tries loading the stage and then it gets stuck trying to load, so basically it freezes except the Wii isn't making a buzzing sound.
I just don't get what I'm doing wrong, I been searching for a while too.
Also, I don't know if this could be a problem but the instructions say
"*The selmap.pac is inside of the common5.pac in the System folder.
Save a copy of the textures from the misc80 selection inside your selmap.pac.
Next, replace the misc80 in your selmap.pac with the one included in the download."For this part, what I did was open brawlbox to open my common5.pac, and then I clicked on the + by selmap.pac and and went to misc80 and right clicked on misc 80 and then selected replace, I replaced the misc80 with MiscData[80] (which was in the download folder. So hopefully I did that part right.
And for the record, my common5.pac is 11,730 kb.
