Board Problems, Suggestions and Updates

Sooo, let me recap.

Your Status:
- You tried to hack a connexion by jumping networks without a firewall, which got you infected with something bad.
- You have absolutely no idea how to solve this issue, and seem convinced that there is absolutely no way to do so.
- It's been the case for something like a year now. I definitely remember you asking that many many months ago.
- It will take years before you're able to fix your situation... really?

Your Expected Solutions:
- Having us code in a new checkbox that would only appear under specific thread-owning conditions
- Then a new permissions that would cause it to appear only for certain members.
- Then make you a specific membersgroup which wouldn't realistically have anyone but you inside, because nobody on this forum would have such an overly complicated set of issues anyways.
- So basically, giving you an arbitrarily-decided privilege over all over users on the boards.

Here are my suggestions:
- Cyber cafés, colleges and stuff should help you to find and/or download your fixes.
- Purchase a new Windows installation instead of going for a broken ISO.
- Linux?
- Find a computer fixer and let him take care of it.

- If all else fails, learn how to short answer? Looking at your post history, most of them could have benefitted from a bit of concision on your part, which would help considerably on the character lag thing.
It's not like I can give lessons about wordiness, but the fact is that I didn't wreck my computer and you did, so you should try to adapt, and I'm sure you'll learn a lot from it.

you're kindof wrong on the first part...

first off, from the times before, when I was stuck on my wii...
I had no net because I lost my w/less card's driver.
(I lost every disk I had when I was homeless)

once I got my driver, I was network jumping cause we didn't have the smart-phone we have now.

as of the first result, I DID have internet on my compy when we first got the phone,
but I was unable to login to anything.
(that's because the rootkit also actively downloads malware)

now the rootkit has been removed...
but I can't seem to fix the damage it's done...

I can reinstall this ISO on other, more-crappy computers I have,
but then I'd have to run 2 compys, which we can't afford to do...


the last time I heard, WindowsXP isn't on the shelves anymore.
(Microsoft even removed it's activation keys)

and XP Black (what I have) is only obtainable through ISO.

On one hand you claim to be extremly knowledgable about coding and compter stuff in general. On the other hand you come here constantly whining about how your computer/network doesn't work right and how the staff is supposed to change the forum because of that.

If you were as amazing as you claim, I'm sure you wouldn't have that much trouble with your computer. Here's a thought, if your PC is really that unfixable, buy a new one. If you can't afford that, get a job instead of wasting your time whining/boasting on an online forum.

In any case, we've thought about it, and not considered it an interesting idea for the boards. For instance, I really don't believe in your claim about seeing many other users seeing a use for it. Most users on the boards have perfectly working computers, or don't need to write overly large posts on such a regular basis. Your case is such an incredibly intricate (almost unbelievable...) set of circumstances, it's pretty much an exception.

So yeah, I am really sorry about your technical problems, but we aren't going to do "something as simple as this" for you, if you can't do "something as simple as" finding decent internet solutions yourself.

which should be able to do everything a normal browser can

It has to do with your facebook and Safesearch options. There is a big message on top of the vault that says how to fix that issue. And I think that question should go on the Brawl Vault topic, since it is not really a problem regarding the boards.

Have you tried following the message that says "If you are experiencing errors while browsing the Vault (windows only saying "Problem:"), try turning the SafeSearch OFF, or the Facebook app ON."
