    In 3DSMAX I'm experiencing a problem that I've encountered several times before. I can't morph a vertex...
I select a vertex, copy it, delete the edit channel, then try to morph it into the edited version but I can't select the edited version...
I usually have to delete both and redo the vertex to get it to work. But I spent a lot of time on this one and I really want to know how to get around this problem.

Check to see if the lock button at the bottom of the screen is highlighted. If it is, click it.
If you still can't select the vertex, try selecting it by pressing H.

I usually press H first, there's nothing to select there.
And it's not locked. Other parts of the vertex morph fine, it's just certain other parts that don't...

Have you tried saving it as .max, reopening it, and trying again?

Like, saving the project and re-opening and trying it? I've done that several times...

This is just a shot in the dark, but try re-importing the raw vertices. If that doesn't fix it, idk.

That didn't work... I'll figure it out though.

I think I know why. You may have accidentaly added or delated vertices. First vertex I did I accidentaly added (don´t know how) a vertex, which makes morphing imposible cause it has to have the same number of vertices. Right click the edited one and check properties for the number of vertices. If it is not the same, then thats the problem
