    Sorry if this is the wrong place, I couldn't find anywhere else to ask...

    I was wondering where I could find the location of the textures of the Names under the CBPs?

    I would really like a copy of a sample, someone said it was in Common5 or something, but I don't have that file handy to look thru it >_<

    I really just want to change it for a few people, replacing the textures in ocarina, like I have for my CBPs so far.

    Any help would be appreciated  AWESOME 2.0!

    Ummm, I'm using Wiiflow, with ocarina codes.... don't know which that would be closer to.

    And no, it's not the CSPs, it actally the Character Battle Portraits (CBPs), which show during the fight.
    I got those changed in  "pf\Info\portrite\intfaceXXX.brres".

    But the text UNDER those, during the fight are still the original text.
    I looked through common5.pac a few times, and didn't see it in there, either.

    I would also like to change the text at results screen, though it may possibly be shared with the CBP text...

    Edit: I've changed most of these files, and doesn't seem to effect the multiplayer brawl...

    Anyone know which file name effects those names?

    Don't know what the policy is on double-posting here, but it has been a few days, so I wouldn't consider this one:

    I tried what that guide said, and edited those files, changing the names in [30]-Textures in each folder.

    Problem is, after editing each one, nothing happened. So i renamed the files, removing the "_en" at the end, and...

    When the Wii loads, after the black screen with the white logo and "Now Loading....." text in the bottom right, it just goes to and stays on a black screen.

    Upon Deleting "Info.pac" from the SD card, the game worked, but no name text changes.

    Any ideas? Sad

    I can't seem to figure this out either. I've downloaded Mewtwo, and I've found a place for everything except the one file that replaces "Lucario" under his BP. I found the pleacement of the other 2 just fine, but not this one.

    I did edit it in info.pac, as I said before.
    Problem is, the game won't load with it.

    I compared the sizes of the original .png files, and the .pac files.
    In both, my modified version WAS SMALLER than the originals.

    Anyone know if there is something else required for these to work?
    I though perhaps I had the size TOO small, even though the dimensions were the same, so I added some gray shades to increase the size to only a couple kbs short of the original, and still had the problem...

    Anyone else have possible solutions?

    I'm assuming the problem is when it tries to load info.pac...

    When it's on there, the game freezes after the initial loading screen.
    When I delete it, it runs normal.

    Ok, after messing with it many times, and lowering the size to 389kb (less than the 391kb original), I still can't get it to work.

    So I downloaded a clean version of the file again, to make sure.
    Just to test it out, I tried loaded the plain jane info.pac, which I renamed from info_en.pac.

    Guess what? It still freezes.

    So it seems a possibility would be that the Europe versions of info are one of the only files different in the US... Unless there is another problem going on... Which I would like ideas.

    Other than that, anyone have an available info.pac that WASN'T renamed from info_en.pac?

    Ok, I thought the _en was a suffix for being ENgland version or something.
    So that troubleshoots one possibility: thank you very much for the response! Cheesy

    Now, if I can get this troubleshot, I will be able to continue my projects, and you will be seeing alot of packages from me: the last thing I plan on working on is sound, but I will be even working on that, provided time after fixing this.


    Edit: Since nobody else was kind enough to post after they found their remedy on other boards and topics, I wanted to say I did fix it, and what I did:

    1)I used ALSTT which edits Song names in info.pac, and used it to create a cleanly generated info.pac.
    2)I changed the Codes I was using, since they were from a while back. They worked, but somewhere between these 2 things lied the problem.

    Perhaps my old CodeSheet was too large of size, and it together backfired the game on load.

    Anyhow, I got it working now, so for those who didn't know it, I'm working on a client for a Private Brawl Server, this is the link: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=27833.0

    I'm using all of this to make a common client that everyone can use on a server, and eventually try to support all hacks on it. But at least this client would have everything more balanced on the characters, and some relatively unpopular/unused ones replaces with ones that are more epic in sorts.
