If that don't work, might I suggest just not rigging the fingers and posing them in 3DS to save yourself from the trouble?
I can't wait for Ridley. 
yeah, i'll just vertex the fingers so they aren't so still looking  Ridley may be next. |

YL wont work... his legs are much longer than the size of toon link's... and shrinking/vertexing them to make them smaller just looks wierd....
