Is it possible to completely get rid of Toon Link's eyes? If there is, what is it?  Do I turn all the eye textures magenta?

Although I never tested it out, all of Toon Link's eye lid texture parts do support transparent colors.  However, you also need to make the eye base texture parts transparent if you want no visible eyes whatsoever.

How exactly do I do that?  (use easy words, as I am kinda new to texturing)

Also, by doing this, will there be big holes in his head where the eyes are supposed to be?  Just wondering,

Both the eye lids and eye bases require indexed palettes, so you'll need to fill the transparent areas with the color magenta (#ff00ff) if you're using ASH.  You must then index the textures with Photoshop (The GIMP doesn't index the textures properly).  If you're using SmashBox though, it'll take care of the indexing for you.

Regarding the head, removing the eye lids and eye base will not add holes onto Toon Link's face, which has been proven by one of MeleeMaster500's Toon Link textures.

    Nice!
I use smashbox, so all I have to do is color the entire textures magenta, then replace the eye textures with the magenta ones, and I'm good?

Not quite.  You only use magenta if you're using ASH to modify the indexed textures.  When using SmashBox to modify indexed textures, the Alpha Channel will represent the transparent colors.  Additionally, GIMP indexes are all right with SmashBox.

How do I use this "Alpha Channel"?  I'm using Photoshop to edit my colors.

If you export your texture parts as PNG images, you won't have to worry too much about the Alpha Channel, as the checkerboard background would represent it.

I tried to get the little checkers to show up, but they only showed up on the parts that started out transparent.  Do I still use magenta, or do I do something else?

Which version of Photoshop are you using?  The things that I'm telling you are for Photoshop CS4.

Also, don't export the textures as TarGA (.tga) images since those images require you to mess around with what's called the Alpha Layer for the transparent parts.

Meh...this is getting me nowhere fast...I'm just gonna color all of the eye parts (excluding the eye yellow) the same color as the skin.  That should blend them in with the face texture

Don't worry too much about it.  I'm pretty sure that once you've gotten more used to texture hacking that you'll know what to do.

I did what I said I would, and look at the result! I posted it in my texture thread!
