Because Brawl+ is really cool, what with its no tripping and being able to select the Pokemon by themselves. But... The stage freezing bothers me, and I'm really just interested in making the characters and stages look cool.

So, I guess I'm asking if I need Brawl+ to take advantage of these textures, and if not, if it's safe to just straight-up delete everything on my SD card and start from scratch. (I mean, IDEALLY, if I could find some way to just turn of stage freezing, that would be best. But this really isn't the place to ask that.)

To turn off stage freezing you just have to edit your gct file to delete the code.
But if you don't want to do that then yeah, textures and stuff still work even without brawl+.

I'm using the latest version available on the Brawl+ website. I downloaded the Premade SD Package.

    Ok,

First make a folder called code manager.

    Then download this:

    http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ldgrtkyzyzj

save that into the code manager folder

    Then download this:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GMMN79UC

extract all of that into the code manager folder

Open the code manager app, go file--->Open txt file

    open Brawl+.txt

The second code should be level freezer. Click it then right click it
    and press delete all selected.

Then select the checkbox next all of the codes. Press store modifications
Put your sd card into your computer, go back to code manager, at the
bottom press export to gtc, set it to your sd card, and press store.

    Your done!

Alternatively, I already did it for you:

Go onto your sd card and into the codes folder, replace the file in there with this one.
