I decided I'll post something here. It's not going to be for a hack of any kind unless someone really wants to do it. I present: My WIP model: White Base.

Wooo! I'm looking forward to seeing custom models of these two. I've never seen a good model of Marina (too obscure I guess?) and the models of Shantae I've seen are either low-poly or too high-quality for games.
My suggestions for Shantae: -The jewel on her headband is too high up. It is supposed to be centered on the band rather than connected at the bottom. -Her hair looks great from that first shot, but I bet it doesn't look so great from most other angles. The big challenge with stylized hair like this is finding a shape that looks good from all angles. Case in point: that second image of her makes it look like she only has short hair on her head. -Her ponytail needs to be bigger and bushier. Right now, its skinniness doesn't make it look very strong. -Her breasts are protruding out of her chest too much for their shape. The gap you can see under them makes them seem like rigid protuberances. Unfortunately, I have no suggestions on how to improve them. -The texture on her body is nice so far, but I think some of the muscle-defining shading is too strong. The lines on her back, combined with the size of the shoulders, make those parts of the torso seem unnaturally bulky. -Don't forget her floaty armband things, which are strangely missing from her original GB sprites but appear in the artwork and later games.
My suggestions for Marina: -I know her arms are skinny, but I don't think they are that skinny. They are at least as thick as her neck. -I think you'll have a hard time working with her hands if her thumb is located where it is. In fact, it looks like she can hardly move it at all. -Don't forget about the round bump things on her shoulders.
Good luck in finishing these!
Thanks for the critique I'll get to work on these.

Wow really looking forward to Shantae! Nice work on both models. I'm pretty sure all the critique I have to give you've already heard, haha. --- I think i'm done with the texture of everything modeled for Chrom. Although, I may redo the buttons on his chest. Also reconsidering which character to put him on. On a side note: with Chrom almost complete, I've been thinking of my next project. So far Awakening Roy DLC for an alternate outfit is at the top of my list.

Chrom looking superb. You saved me a ton of time redoing my old textures, and all I have to say is good work.
Just going to say sad-face at potentially no Chrom over Marth. I'm probably one of the only people who thinks Ike's animations don't fit Chrom (If it ever takes anyone that much effort to swing a light-weight sword like Falchion, they need to bulk up).
By all means, tackle Awakening Roy. The model I was working on has been in limbo for nearly a year now.
EDIT: Also, what SJS said.

Hot damn, that Chrom looks like some pro-grade stuff. I really dig the style. Can't wait to try it out upon release.

While I can understand and agree with the logic here, I honestly want Chrom over Ike just because we already have Lucina over Marth. When I play Awakening, I just feel like Lucina has quicker movements, while Chrom is a little slower yet more powerful, in that respect I think Ike is slightly more fitting than Marth. But hey, I'm not the one modelling or rigging here, so I'm leaving it up to KAZE.
Also I'd love to see DLC Roy, especially since a certain project will feature him in an upcoming release soon.

Awakening Roy would look soooo good Kaze, I'd love to see it done. As for Chrom, I cannot wait to see him in game.
