Well, I've been trying this, but every time I turn the camera the black parts just come back in different spots...

Hey, can you select all the polygons, right click, select object properties, and Check Backface Cull and show me a pic? You may have the same issue I did.

All fixed, the Backface Cull thing fixed it up just fine. Those black spots were making it a pain to adjust the model, so now all's well.
