It's been quite a while since I posted here... Anyways, I don't care if people mock my stuff anymore, but oh well... An once dead project I had is now having a makeover, and this is how it looks like in BrawlBox : ...but once you grab a Smash Ball, it becomes like this : Clever, eh? Credit goes to LJSTAR for However, the body might need a re-rigging, though. Wait, wut ? I only made the Honedge model ... ^^" (and I should probably redo it again) But I'd be looking forward to it :p

Over Peach! It's pretty much completely rigged. I might need to check the texture file sizes and reduce them. They're too big as it crashed Brawl last night during a test lol. Post Merge: January 24, 2014, 09:50:53 AM
What the crap? Looked fine in Brawl Box. As a side note, I had to reduce the texture sizes by half just so the game wouldn't lock up (like from 512 x 512 to 256 x 256, etc). I made them all CMBR, which might account for the corruption. By default, Brawl Box leaves all the textures in whatever format they were originally made, but if I kept them, well, you know.

when i get that problem i just re-apply the new re-sized textures to the model in max. works for me everytime

also, double check the sizes of the textures, if they are not 8,64,128,256,512 or 1024 it will look like that as well...

Oh, I did, they're all multiples of those numbers, but I'll double check to make sure. Also, the problem with dragging them onto the model in 3DS max, yeah, there are 14 texture files, it would be a real PITA to do that. I've done resizing in the past and haven't had this issue necessarily, luckily, I have the original textures (unchanged) backed up, so I can look at them to see what's going on. Do they all need to be CMBR format? when i get that problem i just re-apply the new re-sized textures to the model in max. works for me everytime
I might have used a wrong format or scaled a few of them wrong, I'll need to check. I tried the textures in their original size but it crashed the game for some reason.

And I tried that, and the textures still got corrupted, so there's something else funky going on. Luckily I have the original textures backed up so I can try again. Reducing the file size didn't help the corruption at all. Might need to have someone look at it since textures, materials aren't my forte.

Check your materials, inside is the texture reference. Click on it and see if it has a palette assigned. Since all of them are CMPR, it should have none, if it does, it'll cause weird Issues. Though it looks like UVs went crazy, which I have no idea what could cause it.

Crap, I was afraid of that. The textures themselves weren't all CMPR, I just changed it to them to save space, but that was a mistake it would seem. I tired halving the resolution as well before changing them and that didn't work either. Methinks it's the latter, they're being assigned to a palette or what have you. Can that even be changed to "none" in the material settings? Post Merge: January 24, 2014, 05:10:58 PM

I make YouTube videos, SM64 hacks, Brawl Hacks (obviously), NSMBW hacks, and GoldenEye 007 Mods. I also have a short attention span and tend to switch around a lot and put things on hold. But when I do finish things, 95% of the time I gave 120% effort, the other 5% of the time I give 100% effort.

Turns out, it was a format issue with the textures responsible for transparency, they were the wrong format, iwantgames was kind enough to point out Most are CMPR, a few of them need to be RGB5A3 to retain transparency, so, I'll be able to continue the rig
