So I'm using Akari_un's method with Dasdonkey 2.2. I wanna edit a stage I've downloaded and everything works fine, I get a .dae from the .brres and then stick it in Autodesk 3DS Max (I'm using 2010). Mariokart64's script lets me edit the vertices easily and then I can export the objects to patch over the originals with Dasdonkey.

Here's the problem: When I patch the new objects over nothing happens. I can only get the vertex points to change if I move the whole vertex set (polygon) away from the rest of the model in 3DS max before exporting it as a .obj. Obviously this isn't helpful as I only need to move about 8 vertex points and not all of them.

I can use the old method as a last resort but it's so much easier having a wireframe than a set of vertices. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
