Anyways, I do BRSTMs, CSS stuff (CSPs/BPs/Names/Stock Icons), PSAs, Model Importing, and now working in a Stage.
So, a little bit of everything?

I forgot to mention that once I understood the power that's inside Photoshop I was able to make decent textures. It was hard at first, but my courage pulled me through.

...Okay, MMBN2 pun aside, my strengths are animating and model work, and I have a pretty decent amount of PSA knowledge. As for why, it's because I wanted my favourite character back from Melee, so I practiced and practiced animating to aid in that. My modeling capabilities came rather naturally, whereas PSA was the most difficult for me to grasp of the 3.

Pooooookeeeemaaaaaaaa-*Cough*
...Aherm.
Anyways, this thread contains some useful info. Seems fun.
Lets see here. I Animate, Vertex/Model, Rig, PSA, Port, Import(Materials/etc), and Texture. Animating and Modeling being the stronger points...
I learned about hacks after ]Syntax Error[ got taken down. Tried to use ASH/STASH/CUPASH/Etc. got confused, learned BrawlBox existed, learned BrawlBox instead.
The first thing I worked on was edits to Kit's Naruto animations, actually. I wanted to make a "better" airdodge. I started porting because I thought the old Wheelie model import over Lucas was the best thing since sliced bread. I started texturing because I wanted full recolors for said Wheelie. I started PSAing so I could finish all the things I ported. I started vertexing in Blender because I thought Starwaffle was the frigging BEST. I started importing so I could import PMD models and get them working. I started rigging so could import stuff I've always wanted that WEREN'T PMDs. I learned the Importing rules about materials and stuff so I could make things look cool and I wouldn't have to bother BJ with noob questions. I started Modeling because I saw it as "vertexing without limit." That, and I wouldn't have to scrounge the internet for rare and obscure models of my obscure interests. lol Billy Hatcher and Blinx.
So there ya go. Chronological start to finish, lol.

I PSA! I loved brawl in 2010 and i thought it was possible to unlock shadow there! Then i saw a video by mastaklo and this gave me this site, and the possibility to download Hacks. It was more PSA's i wanted and then i decided to Get some knownlenge with smash attacks in 2011 by copying/studying others codings. Then i made my first hack Mecha Soni

Blackjax You sound amazing yet I've never heard of your hacks. I don't see how I can respond to all of you because I'm on Wii... but You all have some pretty interesting stories.
To the guy who liked to rig, would anyone be interested in converting a file to work in brawl? I have no idea what the orignal file type is but I think brawl uses DAE?
@Thany since I know quite a bit about your reasoning behind your forte already... you really find PSA harder than modelling? Your models look amazing and your PSA knowledge has fixed both of my Roy hacks so far, not to mention made them better.

Texturing is my main form of hacking. I've tried dabbling in animation, I can do pretty good, but nothing on the level of perfection Kit dolls out.
The main reason I do textures is because art is my biggest talent. I can draw IRL, and pretty darn well. I've also had several years of experience in Photoshop. I already had the skill, the trouble was adapting them to textures.
As for Animation: None of my hacks are animation related, but like I've said. I've dabbled in it, and I'm not half bad, even after some time of being absent from trying it.
