Okay, i'll make this quick, for some time now I've been playing SSBB with all sorts of hacks (textures,PSA,etc.)
on my SD card with USB Loader GX, but recently my SD slot on my Wii is broken, so unfortunately, I can't use those kinds of hacks unless I add them in to the ISO. I use Wii Scrubber 1.4 to insert the textures and etc.,  on the SSBB ISO file for USB Loader GX, when I start the game, everything's fine at first, but whenever i select a character whom's textures (or .Pac Files was changed), my HDD Stops working. The game never freezes, but when i'm trying to select the character with the textures, after a few seconds the music stops playing and it won't load anything. (Note: this doesn't happen with every texture I use, just only a few.)

What exactly am i doing wrong? is it the HDD or is it the ISO., or could it just be the textures i'm using? Sad
My HDD is a WD My Passport USB 3.0/2.0 FAT32 just in case anyone needed to know. Tongue

I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong, this has happened to me to, in a similar way, but what I thought I was doing wrong was not adding both .pcs and .pac files for the characters I was replacing. Maybe you could double-check that you have injected both of those files for the character (and make sure both .pcs + .pac files have different file sizes).

I normally only replace music in the ISO, cause there never really are any problems with brstm files.

Take my word that i quintuple checked, and still the same problems occur. I keep injecting them with wiiscrubber 1.4 and still the HDD stop working. I tried several times on 5 different iso Backups. not impressed

hmm, what you could do is try a clean iso with those few textures..(but I'm sure you've tried this already) so maybe use a different hd or maybe even a 8gb flash drive and...

yeah I got nothing  :/

I just checked the resources section of this site and found out that the current verison WiiScrubber i was using cause corruption to the Brawl.Iso so Instead i downloaded the recommended verison of WiiScrubber (v1.2.1) and add the textures/psa,etc on one of my new brawl iso backups. so far, everything works well. i guess it was just WiiScrubber 1.4 that was messing everything up.  Tongue

Wow really? I've always used WiiSrubber 1.4 ever since I put Brawl on my USB, thinking it was stable and safe to use for brawl hacking, I would never have guessed it was the same version that was giving you problems.

I know, and to think that all these problems come from wiiscrubber 1.4.

the sad irony is that when I use wii scrubber 1.4 on dolphin emulator, everything works flawless, but when i use wiiscrubber 1.4 for Usb Loader everything goes wrong...... seriously wth? Im srs here
