oh, and if you think this is too soon, it probably is.

too soon?  never.  my first project over 3 years ago was to make an Animal Crosser PSA.  it obviously went nowhere. 

but yes, i'll be taking care of all the model related stuff, since that's what i know best.

as for the moveset, i kind of thought the shovel digging was his Down Smash... eh, i dunno.  plenty of stuff from the pics and videos today to use.

ill probably get flamed for this but why dont u guys do tom nook instead of trying to copy the new ssb? Shouldn't we save the characters revealed and let them feel special for when the game comes out? like hypothetically the full roster is leaked and everyone makes those characters before the game comes out woud make ssb wii u less special. -this is just my opinion tho

sorry but i have to agree you should not do this it will make the character outdated when the new game arrive and nintendo will probably run this project into the ground.

this is also for anyone planning to do a hack based directly from ssb4, please don't. something inspired yes, exact copy no.

well, i highly doubt we can replicate everything that was shown.  i mean, look at the projectile grab thing.  that would probably be impossible to do.  a lot of it could be done, it'd probably just take a large amount of extra work.

as for an original moveset, i could always post what i originally had planned.  it's obviously a bit old though.  never did sort out the specials completely, but it basically has everything else.

here's my old moveset.  has a lot of other notes and stuff for when i was first messing around with model swapping.  it may also seem a bit cryptic, but hopefully you can kind of see what i was going for.  obviously i can explain anything further if necessary.  simply put, just follow the arrows.  they're supposed to show how the attack is animated.  a lot of it involves swinging the Net and Shovel around like a madman, basically.  the B attacks i never ended up deciding on, because there was 2 or 3 situations i could see working.

Actually, I was planning to maybe try something like that ("Try" because I don't have any knowledge into PSA)

I made some item model, I made the Axe / Shovel and was planned to make a new attack using the Megaphone (for a Smash attack for example)
I also thought the Axe could used into a "vertical slash" type attack, using his two hand, when the axe touch the ground, there would be few frames of vulnerability. (Axe "stuck" in the ground)

Thoses model in question are low-poly as possible since I wanted to make them on the character itself (And there is a looot of item in total, so I thought I should do them low-poly), but if it's needed, I can try to remake them better :
