Way better, I could say brightening the purple skin by just a tiny bit... but don't take just my opinion of it, many like dark looking skin.

Hmm nope, still missing something.  This is what I had in mind when I made those suggestions. Just with the blue eyes you already have, a slightly lighter shade of purple for the body, and an even lighter shade of purple/pink for the tail. Alternatively you can try a color scheme like this.  Perhaps download that Shadow Mewtwo texture and use it as base for the body, then add your blue eye textures, and then try a lighter or darker tail, see which one looks nicer. |

How about making the base color lighter than the tail, I mean, Mewtwo is normally just two colors.

Mewtwo, try 4:  I like this on the most. I would suggest maybe fading the purple just a tad and maybe add some blue to the tail, but not to blue, y'know? Al these previews are so good. Makes me wish I had Snake updates...but I dont :/ That Roy needs some work but you're starting in the right direction, I have nothing else to say that has not been said already about Roy. Never change Roy's hair color. Maybe lightly tone it. (Since Blue Roy's hair is slight more orange. Just be very very subtle when toning it.) |

how about just recoloring mewtwo's armor? right now, these mirage mewtwo's seem forced. on a different note: My fox and ike need to be fixed. my pit and dr mario need to be slightly tweaked. then, I'll be finished with this thread. I'll still be watching though, like a gaurdian angel that's very vindictive and brutally honest and I expect nothing less of you guys.  |

That's pretty much why Mewtwo recolors are really bad in general, because the only things that "work" are shifting the hue of the skin tone and changing the color of the tail. It's why I recommended people working on Mewtwo use Shadow Lugia/Mewtwo as a template, but without the red eyes.
Mewtwo isn't the only one though, Pikachu gets the same problem, but at least he has hats to work with.

mewtwo has armor to play around with, you can combine color of armor and skin to get a good looking and properly fitting mirage mewtwo.

True, but not everyone might want it with armor. Either way, you'd still need something for the eyes, skin and tail. The armor will definitely help bring out more color possibilities, but it should be an optional alternate.

Like I said, it looks even better because the armor gives you more color options, but the armor should be optional, not mandatory.
The tail I don't think should be white though. You don't want it to be a carbon copy of Shadow Mewtwo. It should be similar, yet different.
