Alright so I know how to make an object invisible through texture, but I can't get a specific area to be transparent. Here is an image of my texture that needs to have a transparent area along with some BrawlBox screenshots. How do I get that area in the bottom transparent?

Try adding an alpha channel to the texture and erase just that part. Though that will make it completely gone.

How do I add an alpha channel? More specific please. Though that will make it completely gone.
I want only a certain area completely gone, so I guess that that is what I would want to happen.

Wait, do you mean adding transparency to the texture itself, or enabling the polygons to have transparency? Because if the object already can use transparent textures, and you just need to make the texture have transparency, just do this: Use this program, Color Quantizer, to turn a color that is not in the part that you don't want transparent transparent. I have a tutorial on how to do this here.(Inside the spoiler for "Color Quantizer tricks here")

Doesn't mean you didn't help. I didn't even think about writing that until after you said that, so you got me to mention my tutorial.

I know I have done something like this in the past, but I have forgotten how it was done. In photoshop I had my texture layer, then I created another blank layer below that. On the texture layer I erased the desired area to be transparent. Saved it as a png that had the area transparent. When you view the model in BBox the transparent part is gone, but in the game the transparent area shows up black. I know that there is something that you have to do in the materials section of the model in BBox, but I can't seem to figure that out!

Then that isn't an issue with the texture at all(The texture itself is fine), but the problem is with the model being able to have alpha attached to it, which I don't know how to do.

Thanks anyway. I appreciate the help. I know it has something to do with the Alpha Function, but I don't know the right settings to enter.

Two layers?... Um... I just had an idea! I should just look at one of my past works that had transparencies! Why didn't I think of this before!?!? But if that doesn't work I will definitely be asking back here again.

Just saying, but you could save time of looking through your mods, trying to find a mod with transparency, by just looking at characters like Wolf, or Fox, who definitely have transparency in their textures. *Just a suggestion for speed, in my opinion.*

Don't worry about that. I am very organized when it comes to my folders and files. lol I probably wont be able to work on it until like Sunday, so it might be a while before I post a conclusion to this.
