Of course you need the original pf file patch code as well I had assumed this was obvious.
The mt file patch code also needs to be below the pf one on your GCT

Just to be sure you had Rosalina peach in mt/fighter/peach right? and you held down L on the first gamecube controller starting before you selected the character with the circle and continuing to hold it down untill the match started right?

Well you said it was a modification of Phantom Wings code, so I thought it "replaced" the need for the original code.

Anyway, I made sure the PF code was first and my pf textures work fine again. But I still can't get the mt textures to work. Unless you actually meant the mt file to actually go under private/wii/apps with an S instead of app where the pf texture is. I don't know what the deal is. I've tried holding L even before going to the select screen

    Do you use a wavebird?

Yes I do as a matter of fact. That would actually affect it?

Are you talking the bold line, or are you referring to the lines that are a bunch of 0s and ends with 28? And is it the WHOLE line, or is just those 8 numbers. Goota make sure I do the math right ^^

And just to clarify file placement. Are you SURE it's SD://private/apps/rsbe/mt because my pf folder is SD://private/wii/app/rsbe/pf

Okay! Got it to work! Here's a couple things I noticed.

It seems VERY touchy with the L Button. The game crashed several times whenever I tried to exit a match. I think a precise way to press the buttons to quit is needed, because sometimes it did it, sometimes it didn't. If this is some kind of Wavebird only problem, I'm afraid I don't have any regualar Gamecube controllers to test it.

I decided to place Mac_elef's texture pack in the MT folder and discovered that if you hold the L Button when the "Ready to Brawl" message appears and continue holding it while picking a stage, the stage PAC in the Mt folder will be used (!!!) However if you start holding L on the Stage Select screen, it'll freeze.

But damn if you could just iron out these bugs, this is probably the most substantial and useful Ocarina code for Brawl since Phantom Wing's original code.

I'm well aware that it loads stages it's no more limited to character textures than the regular file patch code, that said I don't know why it's freezing on you under the same circumstances it does not freeze on me regardless I have updated the code to fix a problem that should be unrelated to your problems.

Try it anyways and tell me if it fixes anything, of course since you use a wavebird you'll have to replace that line again

Oh and the updated code is meant to replace the regular file patch code now since you had mistakenly assumed so before

Well I tried loading that new code up in Code Manager and it somehow comes up to 287. I know there's that Snapshot hack but I can't seem to find the right tools to incorporate your code with a screenshot or however that works.

I'm curious though, how are you loading the game? Maybe it's my IOS/Loader (249 Rev 17)?

Thanks, but when I made your code as a GCT using Code Manager and converted it into an Album bin file (properly named) I load it up and I see the garbled green image and simply back out and it doesn't work. Is there a proper way to view it? Is there a regular GCT needed in the codes directory?

Edit: BTW here's the code as it's entered (exported as a txt)

I only changed the one line from before, but there was another line that started out as 28 at the top.

It's supposed to be garbled and you need the load codes from snapshot code in your regular GCT

And leave that first line with 28 alone

Well we can FINALLY breathe a sigh of relief. It works just fine and dandy now. No more crashes! Thanks for being so patient and helpful with me.  Smiley

I'd only say now from playing around with it. If you use a pf texture but hold L on the map screen. You'll get the corresponding stage from the mt folder AND any and all the battle portraits will load from the mt folder as well causing some mismatched images and textures. And sometimes even when switching from mt back to pf, the mt portraits and Final Smashes will still be present. And a minor limitation (justy pointing it out, doesn't really bug me) You can't load a Mushroomy Kingdom 1-1 Texture from the mt folder because holding L automatically makes the stage 1-2

Other than that though, it's awesome.

Yes I've noticed if you load a texture from mt it will be there untill you change your character on the CSS and you can change it right back so all you have to do is select another character then reselect the character

It's actually sort of an advantage without it their'd be no way to play on pf stages with mt textures short of swapping the textures on the fly

oh and you can toggle the pf files off/on with C+1 on P1's wiimote
