If I wanted attention Id ask for attention. Im not one to beat around the bush or trick people into feeling sorry for me. I say what I want and what I mean. I can't believe this crap...
No one is targeting you. :/ If someone else made a thread like that, then it would be questioned too. But at the moment, you're making a big deal about it. :\ But not to be offensive, but stuff like that topic should be on Facebook or something. But if you would really like to get to know people, don't make threads like that, then they'll think that you're just doing it for attention and make them feel bad, thus resulting in a friendship that isn't real. Try participating in Role Playing threads, like the KC-MM Family for example. |

Calm down. Your thread does come off as wanting attention because your looking for friendship. Though u should also take Mercenary advice and change the theme of the thread to a different kind of discussion. Inside of lashing out at people. Which isn't right.

Roleplaying fosters real friendship? I thought asking for friends and getting to know the real them was being blatantly obvious that I wanted friends... I dont... play with people's emotions. And I dont use my facebook to talk about how depressed things get me. Its not the kind of person I am. Id rather make friends, and talk about life privately. Sorry, I dont consider myself lashing out. I just dont get why people cant believe what I say. |

Woah woah woah. Ok, you are upset, and understandably so, but you have to try and understand the reasoning behind locking your topic: several times have the mods and admins dealt with "cry for attention" topics. For example, people making new topics and threatening to leave forever in an overdramatic manner. You may have seen such an example.
As such, your thread was locked as there didn't seem to be a central topic of discussion, which is fairly necessary for a thread in the Discussion board.
A misunderstanding, to be sure, but if you were to implement some sort of discussion to guide along your quest in meeting new friends, I'm sure everything will be fine. It doesn't have to be one topic, you can change the topic from time to time to guide the discussion along. I have seen several such topics, and they all have worked out fine.
I recommend taking KJP's advice. There are many discussion threads about various things (fighting games, LoZ games, RP threads, Sonic, etc etc) and participating in them is an equally legitimate way of making friends.

I don't like that thread either, but I don't see how it's breaking the rules (If it is, I'm sorry for taking the following actions). Unlocking it is what's right, I feel, so I'll do that, as much as I dislike it.
I don't want to see more posts about this. Move on before it gets noisy in here. 
EDIT: No more posts. Move on. Just change the title to something related to some sort of discussion, as that's the Discussion Board, not the "Recruiting Friends" board.
