Help / Changing Castle Siege to Three Seperate Stages
September 10, 2010, 10:56:38 PM
Howdy,

I put Wuhu Island, Golf Hotel from Wii Sports Resort and Swordplay Arena from Wii Sports Resort (I love themes) over the three different Castle Siege pac files.  I also included a FD to Castle Siege .rel since that's a necessity.

However, when you go to load the stage it just sits there.  It doesn't do a buzzy noise freeze, but it just acts like it's loading it but just stalls out.

Am I doing something wrong?  A friend of mine's Wii has Castle Siege set up with like...a Bridge of Eldin Stage and two other stages and his worked fine.

Any help is appreciated!

"the other Base model is Wiiz whatevers
and today's (5/19) versions of Wiiz is designed around a size modifier hack
whereas yesterday's (5/18) looks fine without it"

I guess that's his issue?  My brain is a puddle of goo at this point trying to understand what he's saying.

In my defense I'm posting because of friend of mine is asking about it, the one with the hacked Wii of our group, which has in turn somehow confused me to the point where in spite of actually read it I still don't know what's going on.

I'm confused.  Why does the new version have giant shoulderpads when the older one doesn't?

Help / Re: Japanese Voices via Riivolution?

Awesome, thanks!

And to be clear, I have to use Riivolution for this to work right?  I can't just use the Gecko File Replacement method, yes?

Help / Japanese Voices via Riivolution?
May 12, 2010, 01:18:25 AM
Howdy,

I ran across someone at a Brawl tournament over the weekend with a hacked Wii and was shocked to discover he had some Japanese voices on.  I inquired how he did it and he explained he used Riivolution, which I'd never heard of until that point.  From what I've read it's basically a way more flexible way to get custom data onto games outside of Brawl, which sounds pretty great.

My problem is though, where in the world do I go to get the Japanese voices and what do I need to do with them when I get them?  I'm a technological idiot, so if this stuff is obvious to everyone else I'm almost sure it's not to me.

Thanks for any help!

Can I copy and paste the pac for each Spear Pillar pac like in Smashville, or is it specific because it's a different Pokemon in each?

Splash Hill Zone is pretty cool but the spawn points when there's four players messes up and kills one of the players at the beginning.

I don't know much about this stage stuff so I don't know if that can be fixed or not but I thought I'd let you know.

Any ETA for Willamette Parkview Mall?  I love TvC quite a lot so I'm definitely anticipating that one.

Oh my goodness, that Captain Falco is kind of amazing.

You should just do a series of different heads on Falcon's body.  Can you imagine DK on there? XD

Character Vertexes and Textures / Re: 2D stage(s)
February 03, 2010, 01:19:16 AM
I would love to have these, but I've already got something on FD.  I wouldn't miss something like Flat Zone 2 or Mario Bros. or something.

Can you only replace certain stages when you make 2D stages?

LittleBigPlanet looks beautiful.  A download link for that one can't come soon enough!  :-P

Those L4D textures are fantastic.

Does the Boomer come with a pac?  You only mention a pcs file, so will I have to make one?  It's not an issue, I'd just like to know before I download it later.

Thanks!

Oh my goodness, that Peppy is all kinds of fantastic.  Totally getting that Batpuff, by the way.

Can you put a temporary DL link in this thread if you don't Peppy on Stack Smash relatively soon?

Music & SFX / Re: TMNT: Smash-Up brstms

Which program lets you listen to BRSTMs?  I know there is one, but I can't remember which.  Also, thanks a bunch for uploading these.  Some of the tunes in Smash-Up are just downright fun.
