As stated above, I am trying to remove the little black name plates from the latest version of the Project M select screen. I understand that the standard procedure for this is to go into MenSelChrFace I, find its animation, and either shrink it or move it out of the way. For whatever reason, however, this doesn't seem to be doing anything. I've even gone so far as to import the models directly from other CSSs wherein the nameplates were already removed, to no avail. I've double checked that my sc_Selcharacter.pac is labeled correctly and in the correct folder, and any other changes I make take effect like they're supposed to? Any idea what the problem is?
Was just curious if it were possible to activate the taunt word balloons in local multiplayer games. Haven't managed to find anything on it one way or the other, so any help would be appreciated.
Can't say I did. Haven't really been there in a while. I had wanted to cherry pick some individual codes for my personal use (specifically identifying the "No grabbing items during a dash" code to remove it, and to replace the standard melee air dodge with the hybrid air dodge) and noticed them all grouped together. That said, depending on what the topic creator wants to do, they could possibly just use a gct editor (available from this site if I'm not mistaken) and add on whatever it is they want to the list of codes. If I remember correctly, the CSS codes and whatnot are listed separately from the Unknown Codes, so if the changes someone's looking to make are largely cosmetic, they can probably do so without conflict.
I'm going to assume that what you're driving toward pertains to the specific codes within Project M (IE: The physics-related codes and other gameplay modifications that make up the core of what Project M is), in which case you're likely out of luck for the foreseeable future. The folks at Project M aren't too keen on having those codes released, and said codes are not individually labled within the gct file itself (they're all grouped together under a single "Unknown Codes" heading) and though the possibility of a txt file being included in the final version has been mentioned, that's likely a long ways off.
Really like the Dr. Mario hack, but I've noticed that it (along with the older versions) is prone to crashing (Mario explodes into a gigantic polygonal mess in the foreground) when certain characters grab them. Is this fixable?
I don't believe you can select the icons for the expansion stages in the sense of applying your own custom portrait. They have no predesignated slots of their own, so they always refer to another preexisting level's picture.
Normally I stay away from the basic walk off stages (as I've already got several), but I decided to take a chance on this one, and boy am I glad I did. All the little details make this a wonderful stage, and this is most definitely up there with Mewtwo's work in terms of my favorite stages. If I might suggest a few songs for people wanting to get the most out of this stage (understanding, of course, that everyone has differing tastes) I would recommend Balrog's Theme from Super Street Fighter IV, the hip hopesque Brawl Theme Remix, and the Emerald Hill Remix, all of which seem to fit pretty well and are available in the brawl vault (I had nothing to do with the creation or uploading of any of these, by the way. Just shamelessly plugging stuff I thought fit.) Looking forward to more of your work and, again, great job.
But seriously, these are awesome. Was actually hoping you'd consider a White Jungle/Whatever It's Called for the Other Side themed level. Best of luck.
One wonderful day Mewtwo will formally announce that he's working on Melee Peach's Castle and that the giant bullet is totally possible. Then, of course, he'll get distracted doing ten other awesome levels at once. Really love your Fourside and MK64 (hoping you'll revisit those pipes soon), and looking forward to FoD and Facility. Keep up the great work.
The topic is disturbingly low on hype for Wesker With Shades. Really looking forward to that one. DasDonkey seldom disappoints when it comes to awesome textures. On another note, any plans on doing an original Sub Zero, as opposed to simply palette swap of that amazing Scorpion?
TO THOSE WITH SSP FREEZES WHEN TRYING TO IMPORT NEW PICTURES:
Had this exact problem. The problem is that there is a filesize limit as far as how big the sel_map file can be before the game freezes. BeyondYou's upload is just below this limit. When replacing the Wi Fi preview pic (which is tiny in file size) with the bigger DK preview for instance, the file is pushed past the acceptable limit and thus doesn't load properly. My suggestion to fix this and avoid future issues if you think you might be importing other pictures later (for custom stages and such); go into Brawlbox, export each and every picture from your sel_map and convert them to index color mode in photoshop (You'd probably be safe with converting just the big preview pictures, but in case you just need to shave an additional kb or two, you can convert the others). This will drastically lower the file size of each picture (and thus the total size of the sel_map) and will allow you to import new pictures without fear of freezes. It is, granted, a rather tedious process, but it's your best bet.

Had no problem with the Isaac hair one itself, but I'd much rather have one that just takes up the one slot. I'm a fan of your work and really looking forward to the Roy.
