I don't know about the workings of Gecko OS because I don't have Homebrew. The method I use to load my hacks is called Smash Stack which is an exploit. I go into Stage Builder, and it loads Gecko by exploiting a flaw in Brawl's Stage Builder or something. Then I just click launch game and it does.

Lol so you have Smash Stack, didn't know it and tried to install Riivo?

Anyway, I'll give you a guide I made for one of my friends. I think it helped him install it because he never asked me any questions after I gave it to him.

I copied all this from Smash Mods website and re-edited it super macho big time to help you not get confused because I sure as hell was when I did this.
    [SIZE="4"]Stack Smash Install Method[/SIZE]

This only works for NTSC games. Sorry PAL.

Step 1: Before you do anything, make sure you go to /private/wii/app/RSBE/st/, and remove all custom stages in there -- copy them to your computer if you want to keep them saved. After that, remove all stages on your Wii's memory -- ultimately you should have no custom stages at all on both your SD card and Wii console.

Step 2: Download the Brawl- official release from here and extract everything in that .zip folder onto your SD card root. Replace your 'private' folder with the one that came with this if you already have an existing one. Everything else stays on the root of your SD card, so don't touch them.

Step 3: Download this GCT (a GCT contains all the codes for Brawl Minus to run. With the program Code Manager, you can either add codes or remove them as you wish in the future), rename it to RSBE01.gct, and replace the old one in the codes folder with it (rename it to RSBE01.gct obviously).

Step 4: Launch the game normally. Then, go to Stage Builder. You should get a black screen filled with code, and then it should turn green and jump to Gecko OS. Launch game by pressing the A button on the first option. Don't worry about all the other options right now as it's not important. For future reference, the D-Pad is used to move up and down on the menu. Pressing Start will take you back to the Wii menu screen.
After you get it set up and running properly, your good to go.

I know. I don't know what's going on, but I can't seem to fix it... It keeps taking me to Inbox.com and searches for "http". It's very peculiar...

Here is where that link was supposed to direct you to: http://www.smashmods.com/forum/misc.php?page=bmdownload

Read my post I edited it a lot. Also, Step 3's link has the same explanation as Step 2's in which I provided in the edit above.

Here is Step 3's link: http://ioj.com/v/9tidu. This is a GCT made for Smash Stack. Put it in your /codes folder in your SD card root.

Try the Disable Custom Stages code.

    Code:
    Disable Custom Stages

Ok one more question. I need a full explanation on how to do each file. What do you do when the files say these?

    [Character-Texture-Kirby]
     [Character-Model-Link]
     [Character-ModelTexture-Link]

    etc.

They're all still textures. When it has "Model" in the name, I think that means the texture was made using a model from another game. Doesn't affect anything though it's still a plain old texture.

Imports ARE the imports from other games etc.
    PSAs are moveset edits.

Model means vertex. It means an altered game model.
