Can you port characters over others without causing game breaking glitches? If you can, does that take up all of the outfits for Diddy or just one?

If you're talking about porting Sephiroth's model or something over to Diddy, then yes, it'll work and not break your game, but depending on which character you're putting over who, there can be some glitches, but most are fixable. It's one slot to do so.

Wow that was fast  . That's great news that it only takes up one slot. Wouldn't that make using Diddy really weird since he would have Sephiroth's animations (would that stretch out his bones)?

Yes. I am fast.
If you mean animations and moveset, then that'll always take up all the slots.
If you mean costume only, then it's one slot. You can see some examples in BV.
But porting Marth over to Diddy would make it extremely difficult to fake a sword glow and trace, so I'm staying with Marth for now.
But you are right for one thing, Marth over Diddy with no animations would make his body all sunken in because Diddy is small. I'll get an example pic for you.

How would porting Marth over Link work? I'm asking because I wanted to make a Xemnas (Cocopuff is already working on a PSA over LInk) but I want to be able to use that and Sephiroth at the same time. I'm trying to vertex Link into Xemnas but I think Marth would be much easier and better looking.

Really, Tabuu is eliminating many of the problems that had held back model swapping before, like the tiny shield glitch and giant hurtboxes.
Marth's TransN bone index is higher than Link's, so you should be able to move the hierarchy around so that that face bone is the parent to all the bones in the body and just rename it.
If you want to know more (if I know any more), then you should PM Snoopy or Eternal Yoshi about it, because they know everything about this stuff.
Anyways... back on topic. Any ideas for Sephiroth? Please don't be afraid to share anything or think that this moveset plan is absolutely final. It's certainly never too late to make changes, and we need the help from everyone in this community to make this the best Sephiroth possible!
(And I need help getting the feel of Sephiroth because I've never played any FF or KH game or anything involving Sephiroth or seen Advent Children, so forgive me on that basis.)

I'm going to take a break today... Too tired to even animate. T_T I'm not lazy, But I had to do a LOT of stuff today, and I just want to relax on the forums. I'll work on the animations tomorrow.

It's fine if we make a few changes. I'm always up for suggestions if anybody has any better ideas. If we do, I would prefer them to be moves that Sephiroth actually does (or at least looks like something he would do). You should watch the Sephiroth battle from Advent children to get a good feel for his fighting style. You can also easily find youtube clips of his fights in video games (like Kingdom Hearts and Crisis Core). He's a bit deranged so maybe some of his movements could reflect on that. Yes... Waffle certainly deserves a break after all that hard work... and you can take a break of any length whenever you want! Don't worry, it's OK, and I certainly don't think you're lazy in the least.
Hmm... those videos are exactly what we need to get a feel for Sephiroth! Thanks! It must've been hard work looking for all of them...
Do we have some sort of a general playstyle or direction in mind? Sephiroth's sword is really, really long, and a lot of people already complain about Marth's range, and Sephiroth will have twice that, so we need some balancing ideas... maybe some lag... and difficulty killing, etc.
We have a pretty awesome team, so I think we can make a pretty awesome hack here.
Waffle, can you add Aafyre to the OP as a team member? Give him whatever name you want, something like... Idea and Moveset Manager or something... IDK >_>

I'd love to help out in any way that I can. I've never done animation or PSA stuff so I don't know how useful I'd be in that department though. Although, I am a College graduate with a bachelor's degree in Digital Media (which includes 3d animation) so I might be of some use  . I think we can just give him less knockback than most characters. I was thinking he could have a tip sweetspot like Marth so he could suck at really close range and have to keep his opponents at a distance. Zero Suit Samus has crazy range and she managed to not be broken.

Animating using Brawlbox is a lot different than animating using any other 3D program like Maya or 3DS... you can't click and drag or set paths or stuff, you have to type in numbers and it's absolutely terrible... >_<
And I love that sweetspot idea! And the reference to ZSS makes a lot of sense... it could be hard to Sephiroth to get his opponents out of his face while they're there and he could have only his Jab as a GTFO move, like ZSS, but he'd space and camp well using his range! That makes a lot of sense and it's perfect!

Final smsh i dea is easy!
either a metoer or octo slash, although opcto slash would fit very nicely!
Sephioth Final Smash(OctoSlash): The Begining of Iks FS without the kicks and the spin! unless its an elegant spin which would take mad brawl boxing! Basically Ike and Links Final Smash combines! A lot less longer that them combined! only sword attacks. And Links Final Slash at the End. expect he has to put a lot less effort into it(sephiroth that is)
and it has to be green like limey neon wavey green or purple. copy and paste a few lines from PSA.. and wala-ah octo slash.

Hmm... if it's really just Ike and Link's FS, then Octoslash sounds very easy to make... it'd also be easy to retexture the fire from Ike's FS to make it green/purple...

If Octoslash is the move that I think it is (the one where he says "Cut...Vanish" in Dissidia, I was thinking that would be his forward smash. It's pretty much the same move he does in the gif I showed in Kingdom hearts. Here's the video I'm talking about. The move is the one where his sword glow is purple.
