It's pretty much a useless point system based on how much you help out around the forum.
(E.g telling people not to double post, redirecting people to the right section etc.)

It has no real value as far as I'm aware of.

Like I said no real value

But you don't really get it for helping people... you get from scolding people more than anything :-\

Both...

+ Karma would mean good things will happen to you
- Karma would mean bad things will happen to you

It's just like the real life belief based on the same "What you give is what you get" principle

Yeah I guess I got mine from helping because I've never reprimanded anyone here before, but I post a lot in the Help forum.

I was under the impression that Mods awarded you karma points for being the first to answer/solve someone's question in the help section. They really do seem kinda pointless.

I love how every forum I go to that has a system similar to this the majority of the people always don't like it -- can't you just appreciate things for once? Lol.

I don't think it's pointless but that's just my opinion.
