sorry, is the v1, wath kind of glitches have the johnlcb's vivi???
Not entirely sure to be honest. I think johnlcb mentioned that there were a few bugs with the v1 Vivi in the release on your official site. So I figured I'd wait for the V2. If the bugs aren't anything major (like having the game crash when attempting to grab items) and he's perfectly playable then I may as well grab the v1 as I plan to add him to my roster eventually.

About time. I'm sure this will make a lot of people very happy. I noticed It said "Support for any 3D editor that supports Collada." Does that mean that one could vertex edit with Blender?

Some people where asking for the video subs in english, so I decided to write this: 1. Export the model that you're gonna edit and place it in the same place where you have DDB2. 2. Make a dae file out of the pac. 3. Import the file into 3DS max (remember to un-check "import up-axis"). 4. Run mariokart's script just to fix the ais import. 5. Select the vertex group you want to edit and then go to file and choose export selected. You will export it as a .obj file with whatever name you want. 6. Check the vid at 4:32 to see the parameters to export the .obj file. 7. With brawlbox export the vertex group you're gonna edit and save it as vertex.ddf. 8. Run DDB2. 9. Select the ddf file and obj file you're gonna edit and press "create patch". 10. That will automatically give you the offset value and a message that the patch was successfully created. 11. Edit your model on 3DS max. 12. When you finish editing go to file and select "export selected" again. 13. You can overwrite your previous obj file or create a new one, save it with the same parameters. 14. Run DDB2 and click "load ddf". 15. Select your recently created ddf and your edited obj and then click "apply patch to MDL0". 16. It will be saved as "model_edited", replace the new model in your pack.
If you need to double-patch:
17. Save your new .pac file with another name. 18. Make a new dae from the your new .pac file. 19. Open a new scene in 3DS max and import the new dae. 20. Run mariokart's script to fix the ais import. 21. Select your vertex group, go to file, select "export selected". 22. Save the new .obj with the same parameters. 23. Go to DDB2 and click on "refresh". 24. Select your new obj and press "apply patch to MDL0" again. 25. Replace the new model in your .pac file. 26. Yell something like yipee or yay, you've successfully used DDB2 to edit models.
Check the video and this written version if you have doubts... Lensho said he was gonna make a thread explaining it for the ones that want it in encglish, don't know if he already did.
