    k, I've discovered something interesting.

    Here's the story, Tennet's inserted CSPs in smashbox were all unindex, and whenever he selected Dedede, his game crashed. The other CSPs he's had were also unindex, but they didn't crash him. So, I decided to help him fix the problem by opening his common5_en.pac. I opened 003.BIN into 002.pac, and opened 030.brres, which is King Dedede. I opened his final costume, the .tpl, and received a +0 texture. This is how his CSP looks like.



    If I'm correct, all character portraits should be +2 textures, but why is there a +0? What is +0? I believe this is crashing him. Anyway, I need an answer, or better yet, how to replace that image in the .tpl.

    EDIT: Here's the download to the .tpl, and the .tga, 030.brres, if you want to make sure I didn't open something wrong.

    I remember getting a +0 texture once... It was for Crazy Hand's bomb textures, or something to that nature.
    +0's exist, but I have no clue what to do with them. Perhaps they're colorless? Or they were extracted incorrectly by... whatever it was you used. Because the way Dedede looks in that shot, reminds me of when I palette-hexed Lucario's face wrong a couple of times before.

    From what i remember, the only time i could get these to work was to go image > mode > greyscale. I only tried with a few but they seemed to work that way. Though i only encountered +0 textures that was on normally greyscale textures.

    I think when he inserted this with smashbox unindexed, it changed some of its PTL0 information. I can try change it back to +2 for you.

    Well looking at the PLT0 info in the 30.pac they all seemed fine, so its probably the pointer info in the TPL or the PLT0 pointing to the wrong [censored]e. Your better off just getting a new common5.pac and inserting everything properly.

    But IIRC the portraits are from somewhere not in that +0.rar?

    From what I've seen from SmashBox, +0 textures only uses grayscale coloring, but does support transparency.  Don't know what textures use that kind of palette though.
