Texture Notes
Sorry for the lack of updates, but ever since I bought Mario Sports Mix, I haven't done much with the texture hacking department. In fact, I took the opportunity to extract the Mario Sports Mix ISO onto my computer, and viewed its contents.
1: The game does support BRSTM files, which are compatible with BrawlBox.
2: It has been stated that this game uses MDL0 files (based on a SmashBoards thread), but the files that they're stored in have an unknown compression set to them.
3: The root of the ISO has a folder named chr, which holds a bunch of .mdl and .mot files. They might be the files that have the unknown compression. However, most of those files have unusual names, which makes it hard to figure out what is what.
4: The ISO does contain BRRES files. If my hunch is right, the game may also support TEX0 and PLT0 files (judging by the data that I've gathered).
For further details about my investigation, refer to the following links...
http://www.mario-mods.com/2011/02/mario-sports-mix-iso-investigation.html http://www.mario-mods.com/2011/02/mario-sports-mix-texture-investigating.html
Anyway, if all goes well, there's a possibility that I'll do texture hacks for Mario Sports Mix too. Until then, all I can do is wait, and hope for the best.
Note: This post will stay as a reference. It won't be deleted when I do my next update.

I've been playing this game quite a bit recently as well, hope we get imports of some stages soon!
I also experimented with brstms yesterday and it seems brstms are like Mario Kart Wii, they need to be below the length of the original iso. The brstm I imported also won't loop for some reason while it loops properly in other games :/

He's only dumped the textures. He can't find a way to insert them.

Not quite. Although I was able to dump the textures and edit them, I have no idea how to read the .bin, .mdl, and .mot files that are in the ISO. Again, the files have an unknown compression set to them; the compression has to be cracked by someone first.

Ah, I see you've also learned how to re-texture the Bumper. Also Needle Kirby has been made before. I'm not saying you shouldn't have made It but I don't see the difference between the one you made and the one pikapower made.
