heya Beyond
i think the most "must shoot my gun" inducing thing that we can do now is adding special effects. you can make objects have cell-shadedness and other effects like captain falcon's body effect and samus' armor effect. what else.. what else.. imports now automatically get normals fixed (.. i think) and colors too. you can make things glow in the dark. like Nano mentioned, theres a Auto-Metal button that works for the most part. aaaaand.. i think thats it-wait theres.. nevermind, i think that is it
anyways.. i wonder what kind of stuff you got planned and well.. its good to know yer not dead yet

Well, Beyond. Dr. (member name) Gave Zero perfect shaders. He fits naturally in Brawl now. Not only that. He's been doing Lucario costume model hacks. The first released ones (MetaCario and DKario you may want to look at). Metal Sonic by Nanobuds was done. With me and Italian contributing textures and reference textures of our own for him. StarWaffle redid Bomberman a couple of times. One on Luigi and one on Olimar. GBC made a nice Mega Man hack (though it could use a bit of work, texture-wise). ShadowSnake has done Lloyd Irving. Vee Lucifer has done several Digimon imports, including Beelzemon. A new kid on the block: Pavlova, a new dynamic duo not unlike Aafyre, has done Krystal over ZSS as well as a couple of hacks modeled off of her on Peach and Zelda, Marina Liteyears, that one cat from the unreleased StarFox 2, and DemonBoy has done a couple amalgamations of SSE enemies. That's the basic of what has been going on. If you decide to take it slow, I would suggest doing something new, but small. Zero would be a prime candidate for a re-rig thanks to Dr. though. Here is the image of Zero, with what he did. Glitches on Delfino for unknown reasons though... Before I forget again, Welcome back Beyond!

Man awesome Zero changes. That shine is beautiful. I love the subtle grain. It adds a lot more authenticity to the metal texture. So the texture and shader are basically flawless. Just the rig needs cleaning.
Also, Tekkaman Blade could also use a re-rig. Namely with rigging his bigass shoulder blades to the ShoulderN bones (or add separate bones to control them since having them in set positions is VERY annoying for animating).

To add to this, since it's relevant to you.
MarioDK made several versions of Super Buu for the Buu PSA.

I want that Zero. It's perfect now It's in the Vault, right? As far as I know: No. Believe it or not. He did it while experimenting for the LucaZero costume.

I want that Zero. It's perfect now It's in the Vault, right? I don't think it's on the vault yet.
And the texture is perfect. The rig is not. Since it hasn't been re-rigged, it still has all the problems that Velen went through such effort to seek out. You can tell by the left leg and the thumbs in particular.

Look. I know you people are tired of hearing it, but Zero's rig needs to be improved. Bone translations may work for some characters, but for characters like Zero, it's not enough. It's foolish to think they can fix everything. How do I know? I've been working with him in BB recently, and now I see the full extent of what needs improvement. I'm not saying what I say out of spite or maliciousness. I say it because I think it needs to be said, and I am completely honest in every critique I give, even if my tone is rather offensive at times. I was ecstatic that Zero is in Brawl as his MvC appearance, but I have to put my fanboyism aside in order to give a proper critique. If nobody is critical of anything, nobody improves. Period. I can note several problems as it stands. I'll be giving pics to have you better understand, since it seems nobody will listen to just words. -Thumb bones are not properly rigged. It doesn't bend the thumb but rather stretches it to accommodate the rotation. - Leg bones (at the hip area) are not properly rigged, as they do not affect the part where the leg and hip come together (the silver ring surrounding the leg at the top of the femur). -Arm bones have a problem, silver part at the top of the arm where the elbow is is not affected and as a result looks unsightly. -Finger bones could be rigged better. The way they bend the hand polygon is not natural of a Brawl model. -Hat bones could also use better rigging. The way the hair moves, it is made to only go in one direction, and the last hat bone doesn't affect the tip of the hair either. -Shoulder pads need a rigging so they can be rotated. -Waist bone rigging is VERY off. Here are some collages of images I put together to support these. Further: Good day. I read this over again...and despite the truth it holds. It's kinda painful for me to read it now...>_o
