The most recent version I don't remember the exact one, but the tick is to use the D3D9 plugin with a 32-bit build, 64-bit versions don't work with it for some reason.  Also be sure to map the F0-F9 keys to something else otherwise the two conflict.

3DX Ripper uses DirectX9, changing to the plugin in Dolphin (again, 32-bit version) will allow the program to work, at least it should. You need to use a older version of Dolphin, like 3.5 or some variant of 3.0 with D3D9.  It's just another one of Dolphin's graphics plugins.

Better. Now he just very simple gradients for his textures, and his eye area shouldn't be affected by shaders so they are bright during gameplay.

well, if you look at smash bros 64, they have none of those.

Then he needs more of those to detail them. Black for the appropriate details and brown for others.
